Skyrim has had no glitches or crashes for me yet, and I love the UI.

PS3: A few freezes and graphical glitches here and there. Other than that its good.
Pretty much this. Did have a major texture glitch at one point where some textures appeared to be interlaced with mesh so lots of things flickered when I moved and had to reboot the game to fix it.

Did have it "crash to desktop" on Ps3, that surprised the heck out of me. Just walking along then suddenly XMB.

No glitches at all?
Really? My copy is full of them. None enough to ruin or annoy me that much, but they are there. Like being punched by a gaint so hard I flew halfway accross the map. That is not an exaggeration. Its gitchy as hell, but hey, its fun!
[small]Psst. The giants are just that strong, it supposed to be that way.[/small]

OT: Not many bugs for me. Got a shitty xbox that will crash occasionally, but it does that for every game. One time a corpse disappeared, but I reloaded, fought it again and it was fine.

Hmmm... Well, if it isn't a fallacy of the game that needs to be patched, then why is it that my computer puked colored pixels all over my Skyrim, not once but three times?

(PC):
I've had one cave that crashed me (had to explore that short cave in windowed mode for it to work. Try that if it happens to you) and one bugged quest (Cursed Ring of Hircine, horribly bugged, now stuck wearing a ring I don't want), but no really big-impact stuff, and hey, it's a bloody fantastically great game. Bloody flaming hell, I love it. :]

The UI isn't really that great, it's just not as bad as people say it is. Sure, sometimes the mouse cursor will stop working properly, menus will deselect for no reason and it takes a bit longer to access all the information you need, but these problems aren't so bad that they're gamebreaking, just minor annoyances. I even actually like the map system and skill tree menus.

What's more, I have only had a few crashes in about 21 hours of game time, and only 1 of them was a hard crash. It's a bit pathetic that bethesda are so bad at this that having only had a few crashes in less than a days play time could ever be a good thing, but it's an improvement at least. Certainly better than what I had to go through with Fallout 3...
I played every single TES game and really Skyrim so far manages to be more annoying than enjoyable, because every time i get into playing it all those little things start to pile up one after another.

It is that bad. Why?
First: No proper way to compare items.

Second: No proper sorting function.

Third: List is bad for PC. Grid is the way to go.

Fourth: Lack of information about items. (which weapon is 1 and which 2 handed, which armour is considered light and which heavy, etc. Some are obvious, but information never hurts, especially in a game that's considered a prime example of RPG)

Fifth: Painful to see what You actually have equipped.

Sixth: Perks UI is just one big mess to navigate. You pressed A/D one time too much? Welcome to completely random place in different perk tree.

Seventh: Map doesn't let me fully zoom out, the "fog" effect is pointless and only obscures vision.. It's a map. I haven't seen a map in my life that would cover itself with fog!

Eighth: No way to bind weapon sets for dual wielding. Try this Yourself. Equip a sword in 1 hand, axe in second hand, switch to spell, try to re-equip offhand weapon. Impossible without going to the Favourites menu and assigning hands manually. Now do this several times during combat. Not fun.

Ninth: Crafting. Oh crafting. Why no bulk crafting? Why suddenly the po up in crafting to confirm the craft requires mouse, while everything else can be done with keyboard?

Tenth: Why Journal is in Escape menu rather than in Tab menu ? Why suddenly put it along with game options? What's intuitive about that part? Oh right. Because console UIs are limited to 4 directions...

Eleventh: Esc doesn't close the Tab menu... Really. Esc is the default "close this crap" button everyone uses, everyone likes and no one ever complained about. Why change it?

As for crashes... I'm not even going to bother. If not memory leaks than random crash to desktop without any error or freezing on loading screens. And my PC is way above the specs this game is even able to utilize.

Don't get me wrong. i enjoy the gameplay itself, or rather would enjoy it, if i wouldn't have to constantly battle with the UI. Can't wait for Creation Kit so most of those things can be fixed right away and i can actually play through the game. Till then it will wait untouched.

EDIT: Because picture says thousand words [http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/5679/skyriminterface.jpg]

if i may say something about the instakills, I think part of the problem is that the health bar empties into the centre, not to the right as most people would be used too, id wager that makes you think you have more health than you actually do, i know its fooled me >.<

On the whole though its goddamn fantastic, the UI is amazing (apart from the health bar) its nice how now theres actually slots for specific things, potions eg.
Only other real problem is the map, it looks great, and it functions... decently, it needs freaking roads

Yeah right. You mean you can press Q then scroll through all the things you favorited.
Eh, no, you can actually bind them to numbers. Just look at your favorited items, select one, press a number key, and voila.
Wanna see my armor class? Have to scroll and hit an extra button. Wanna see my damage? Likewise, need to go to my inventory. Wanna see my current buffs and debuffs? Tab, move mouse left, click, scroll down, click, and scroll through some of those if I have more than a few. Wanna switch outfits that I don't have favourited? SCROLL THROUGH A LIST! And I hope you memorized their names because there's no visual representation to what they look like until you mouseover them.
I'll give you the easy checking on your damage and buffs, though my damage is easily checked by looking at my Favorite menu, but the rest, how is that different from basically any other RPG out there? Hell, most don't even have Favorite lists to check up on those things easily, and yet it's Skyrim that catches a lot of flak now.

And if you use an outfit more often, why not favorite it? It's there for a reason.

No, the UI is objectively horrible for a PC user. But don't take my word for it, here's an article from someone who knows what he's talking about: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/11/14/user-interfarce-skyrims-silly-choices/
Don't see how he knows more what he's talking about than I do. Most the article is just bitching about how bad it's supposed to be. I mean, all he says about the stellar carousal screen is how shit he thinks it is, and that's it. In the mean time I find it working pretty decent as with one quick swish through the carousal I can see which trees I'm working on and which one's I'm not. He just says "Bleeh it sucks."

He is right about the uselessness of the map though. Pretty, yes. Functional, not really. At least give us the placement of roads thank you very much.
EDIT: OH but my favourite part is when you receive an item from someone. The game just tells you "items received". WHY THANK YOU GAME. Now to scroll through ALL MY DOZENS OF ITEMS just to find something with a different name from what I had before I got it. How fast and smooth is that!
Yes it is fast and smooth, as the menus are snappy, respond quick and have little visual clutter leading me to my item in no-time.

As for getting items, I always see " received" and thus can look it up quickly enough, knowing the lists are alphabetical. The only doubt I have sometimes is whether something is an ingredient or a Misc item.

Haters gonna hate, but I for one am having no issues with Skyrim whatsoever, and I'm enjoying it immensely. And this is from someone who's playing it on a laptop that can only manage Medium settings.

Discuss whether or not the giant-launching is a bug or not. Because I don't think it is.
"I have not experienced any issues, therefore issues do not exist." I think your logic might be a bit flawed there, sir. That having been said, I'm glad that your game is running smoothly. :)

Giant launching is hilarious. If it's a bug then I sincerely hope they don't patch it :)

Played on PC(Ultra, AA and anisotropic maxed out, with mods), UI is fucked up but only had 2 crashes in almost 30 hours so I guess it performs far better thatn Fallout 3 or New Vegas.

There are occasional things that can break the immersion for me, for example the shadows in Whiterun can act awfully odd sometimes when talking to that blacksmithing woman whilst facing the towns front entrance. Still, I find the game such an immersive wonder what I don't even mind that much.

I've encountered a few problems such as: Giants sent me to the skies; a corpse fell through the floor; my equips shudder violently in the character menu after a few hours; my frozen, living body went stretch-limb crazy and glitched me all over Throat of the World after a greybeared frost-shouted me off High Hrothgar during a gonna'-preload-that fun rampage.

But none of those are gamebreaking. Though the low-resolution bug for install on 360 is annoying and slightly immersion-breaking. I keep it on HDD though to cut the load time down drastically and to make my console as quiet as possible.

Add this to your Skyrim_default.ini, under [Papyrus]:

iMinMemoryPageSize=100000
iMaxMemoryPageSize=5000000
iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=1800000000

Courtesy of ENBDEV, where you can also find flickering shadow and stretched texture fixes. http://enbdev.com/index_en.html
I'll test this out and see if it works. If yes, I'll let everyone here know, as I assume we're not the only ones. Thanks mate.

EDIT: Pleased to announce that this doesn't fix anything. Still sad. Thanks for the try.

I love the UI too, and I only have had one freeze where I had to restart.

Other than that, no problems at all.

uh, im playing on pc, bugs:
-crashes x2: solved by changing sound card option
-textures on dragon didn't load for the third one: solved by rebooting game
-locked in third person after the companions ceremony: solved by using the power recieved from the ceremony again 1 day later(trying not to spoil for those who dont know)
-random glitches like people floating away when in dialogue and the dialogue stops working properly sometimes: its a bethesda game, itll probably be fixed in mods.

Pretty much this. Only people who never or rarely play on PC could say that this is a good UI for the PC version. In fact it's probably the worst I've seen on a triple A game that has a PC version.
It's just Bethesda taking a dump on the PC crowd again when they could have made a separate, more serviceable UI for PC in a couple of days. Heck, I hear that a few guys already modded some of the interface and we're talking about (relative) amateurs. In just the 4-5 days since the game's release.

I'm still having fun with this game but the UI is a nuisance that gets in the way constantly.
It's incredible how lazy game developers can be when modders have to do their work for them. The guys who wanted to play on PC had to find out on their own how to enable shadows on trees and land(you know, like it's supposed to be), how to disable v-sync, how change the motherfucking FOV(put it to 80-90 and it starts to look like a proper PC game), all things that could have been easily implemented in the goddam settings menu. Not to mention the tweaks that make the graphics that much better. At this point, I'm not even sure why Bethesda puts out PC versions if they are not willing to make the effort.
