Skyrim....

I dint like it... Dont get me worng i play it and found it decent but noffing special. Its overhyped in my opinon.

And before you sods out there start russing trypeing things like

''Dont juge the game before the 20 hour mark'' or somting like that its worth rembering that i can in 3 hours playing somting like Castlevaina OOC and enyoing my self vile i play skyrim for 3 hoursand found it lacking

Am i the only one who see that this game is burtalishly OverHyped?
.
Over Hyped? You've played it and you didn't like it. Products get Over Hyped when the developers depend on the first day launch and the name of title, before word gets out that it's a crap game. Like Kane and lynch.
Here? The overwhelming majority of the players love it. I love it. I want to be Skyrims' ***** if only I wasn't tied down to the real world.
...
Did I say it out loud?

Oh dear lord, please proofread what you just typed.

Anyway, I haven't had a chance to play Skyrim, but from what I've seen it looks pretty good. Then again, "what I've seen" isn't really a good judge. Thats actually hype itself.

Though, honestly, I don't think the game was overhyped. Sure it was hyped, but I think it has mostly delivered. Expansive, engaging world, interesting NPC social interactions, fun dynamic gameplay, hundreds of things to do, dragons, etc, etc. It all sounds great.

Oh and maybe you should add a poll.

It's done nothing but beaten my own hype for it so for me personally, no.

I mean this, spoiler, just happened to me and it was far more entertaining than anything I've experienced in Oblivion and I thought nothing would topple that game for me.

Yeah it was over hyped, but it was the fanbase that was overhyping it rather than the developer or publisher.

Seriously, people were bleating "Game of the year" minutes after they announced the damn game. But fanboy's will be fanboy's, Just do yourself a favor and not get swept up in their unwavering torrent of nerd spit.

Not really, I only saw a few commercials and ads about Skyrim, unlike MW3 which had commercials on TV 24/7, printed on Cheetos bags, Mountain Dew bottles, and pretty much shouted from the rooftops by mindless zombies. I can safely say that the hype for Skyrim was based on personal experiences of previous games, and by word of mouth. If you did't like Skyrim, well, what can I say, you are a person who hates RPG's then. I bid you farewell, and may our paths never cross on these forums.

I can honestly say that I have yet to be let down by ANYTHING this game offers.

EXCEPT!

... the menu. It's a bit more cumbersome than it necessary. But hell, I'm running this on medium- no crashes, only one freeze, a couple of hangups lasting less than 10 seconds every couple of minutes outdoors, and it STILL looks beautiful.

It's delivered on most people's expectations, and surpassed many of them.

Overhyped, it was not. Just isn't your thing.

Not at all. If anything, it's far surpassed my expectations.. and I'm someone who never spent any time with the previous games in the series because I just couldn't get into them. And no, that's not "20 hours in." It was from the moment I finished the tutorial/intro segment and entered the world proper.

I am, however, in slight agreement about the hype level as it comes from fans of the series. That certainly is rapturous, but it's also not overly different than almost any other big game that gets released. The difference here is that it wasn't compounded by developer/publisher hype (like, for example, the CoD ads where they actually called it the most anticipated game of all time or something to that effect).

Excuse me, but did you even read your comment before you hit "Post"? It looks like you hit the keys with your elbows until there was about a paragraph of whiny ***** and spit on the screen. Then you wiped the cheeto crumbs off your shirt and felt like you contributed to the internet, you whiny troll! If you don't like the game, don't keep playing it! But no one wants to hear you ***** about a game that you don't like but hundreds of other people do! And, if I may quote, "burtalishly"? Congradulations, for you have just won the award for Most Fucked-Up Incorrectly-Spelled Made-Up Word of the Century! Let's take a look at it, seeing as how I have to teach you how to spell liek your English teacher. the word you were looking for was brutally. So in short, you should probably learn how to spell before you ramble on like your opinion is going to matter to anyone, you annoying selfish twat!!!
O_O

Did... did that just happen?

Dude, calm the fuck down. He's actually being very, very civil about this. I'd be more likely to call you a troll before the OP. Not to mention your grammar isn't exactly the best either.

Chill out, dude, or your stay on this website won't last a lot longer...

But... C'mon, The Witcher 2 did it as well with riding prostitutes through the river! Erm, that didn't sound good.
What I meant is that the "The Hangover" quest was already used in a previous game and even then you could spot it was forced. So, what say you? Fondling a religious statue or five men attempting to ride prostitutes through the river?

I don't know what you're talking about (mostly because every third word was typo'd) but if you'd list reasons as to why you found it lacking, it would facilitate a much more productive discussion.

Personally, it's either my GOTY or damn close.

But, no, Skyrim is not over-hyped. It don't remember it being hyped in the first place.

It wasn't overhyped at all. It was a really big release for the year. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it was overhyped. It didn't completely saturate the media lie CoD or Battlefield 3 have done. It was impossible to get away from those bloody ad campaigns.

Yes. Very much so. It's Oblivion with better graphics and better magic combat. Nothing else is really improved IMO.

First off, please don't adress me so ambiguously. I'm not a dude, I'm a girl. I am not mad at you for that, however. I'm merely stating it for future reference. And also, how exactly is my grammer not very good? No, I'm not a college graduate majoring in the English language, but my grammar is, as far as I know, perfect. Or at least close to perfect. I do tend to drag some sentences out a bit, but that's just the way I type. My brutallity stems from the fact that I would sell everything I own to get my hands on anything Elder Scrolls related. I could have been a lot meaner, but I used self-control. And to quote your response: "Chill out, dude, or your stay on this website won't last a lot longer..." Excuse me, but is that a threat? Am I expected to fear you and run away soiling myself and begging forgiveness? As Yahtzee said, HARDY HARDY HAR......
Re: Grammar

You spelled "like" as "liek", you failed to capitalize the first letter in at least one sentence, you have a needless amount of exclamation points at the end of your last sentence, and you seem to have never heard of the concept of paragraphs (not exactly grammar related, but it makes things much easier to read).

Re: Meaner?

I doubt that. That was one of the most obnoxiously rude things I've ever seen anyone post on here, and I've been here for three years now. I'd do a lot to own anything from the Halo universe, but if someone is simply stating that they don't understand the hype or appeal of it like the OP, and doing it in a civil manner, I'm not about to needlessly bash them for their view.

I don't give a damn if you were making fun of his grammar as well, it was pretty bad, but you attacked his viewpoint, which is what's wrong here. It was rude, it was cruel, and it's against forum rules.

Which brings me to Re: Threat

No, it wasn't a threat. It was a piece of advice. I, and I'm sure others, have reported your post. Acting like that on here is, as I stated, against forum rules, as well as common decency.

I love Skyrim. A lot. It may be the best game I've ever played. But I'm not about to attack this guy simply because he disagrees. I'm going to state my opinion on the matter kindly (which I did, along with an attempt at a laugh) and move on with my life. You attacked him and his view quite rudely. You broke the rules. Continue to do so, and you'll earn yourself a ban.

So, chill. It's just a game. An awesome game, but a game. There isn't any reason for you to treat others this way just because they don't like it.
