one thing thats different here, your can adventure and DO THINGS with your SPOUSE! :O
Cool, right?
Also if you allow yourself to be immersed in the game how cool would it be to have a character, a warrior for example that goes into battle and adventure while his faithful wife awaits at home? Or to rescue her from bandits for example? They are not simply going to make a spouse system without character development. I think this adds a whole new dimension of immersion, and it's not something you have to do anyway. Those of us who like the idea are excited to see how it's executed. I don't understand how someone can moan about added content. It's TES, you don't have to do anything you don't want to.
This can have so much potential, really.
Especially if your child should inherent some features from you.
Can you imagine the offspring of some of the faces you could make in Oblivion!?
I do wonder how bad reputation will effect your family.
Do your enemies attack them?
How cool would it be to come home and have your family killed or kidnapped. They managed to kill one bandit, and as revenge you hunt them down and slaughter the lot.
If they make this anything but a static model that randomly strolls around in your house, I'm actually very happy with this.
