Your cerebral cortex is functioning on all cylinders when you're dreaming. As in, it's working just as if you were awake. Your body pumps a neural inhibitor into your body when you go to sleep that makes it so your muscles don't respond to the brain's commands because otherwise you'd be physically doing what you're dreaming.Chibz said:If I recall correctly ... Sometimes the dosage goes wonky and you have people who kick in their sleep, talk, or sleep walk.
