Of course it's likely going to get shut down right, quick, and in a hurry. Still though, it looks like it could actually be fun (if you like those types of games).
Personally, though, I think if you're going to make a game like this then you should develop it in total...ABSOLUTE secrecy. No screenshots...no demos...no videos...absolutely nothing. Just you and your group working on it until you're ready to launch it, toss it up on the internet and say "HAVE AT IT YOU DOGS!" and let it go as long as it can before getting shut down. Releasing videos and screenshots and such just gives the company that actually owns the IP plenty of time to shut down your project before you can even finish it.
Anywho, what do you, my fellow Escapists, think of this (possible) game? Would you be interested in playing FF7 if it were a side-scrolling beat'em'up?
