Warcraft III, I joined a game, a zombie survival one (I was only doing it cos I was bored shitless and WoW servers were down.) An it was a RP game, SO as a dedicated RPer I thought 'Cool.' When I joined, no one was RPing, the one thing I saw that was anything like it was 'let's go save the lieutenant!' and that was all, no one was RPing, all there was was *ping* "<gun name/ammo> here." etc. When everyone but one person died, and he was running away, I, because of my boredom said "Run!" to which the host straight away says 'SHUT THE FUCK UP YOUR DEAD YOU CANT FUKING TALK LEARN HOW TO RP!" and kicks me from the game, even though well near everyone was talking while they're dead, or speaking in 1337. I tried to whisper to the guy, to tell him why I said it (I eventually gave up on the thought of RPing) but aparently his 11 y/o tears short-circuited his computer, because he was no longer online.

Many times I've been called a noob because I enjoy sniping. I was playing a match of BF: BC on one of my friends computers when the host, who was in my squad said that if I went Recon he would kick me. I told him that the reason he doesn't want me in his game was because he sucked. He argued and I told him to shut up and put his money where his mouth is. I went to a bush on a hill and sniped him in the face about 6 times from all the way across the map. I even TOLD him where I was.

Needless to say, he shut up and even went Recon himself.

Ahh Booting hosts. Man there a pain in the ass. Many times have I played Left 4 dead and many times I have been booted becuase of the fact that my Mic was not pluged in. I understand that it's natural to belive that Mics are essential in this game but the truth is there not. You can't communicate with your Ai bots. Either way if you boot me your just gonna take a stupid bot that will never get into a corner.

But that isn't nearly as bad as the ragequitting players. I've had players quit out as soon as one person on there team dies. It's the first level you'll have plenty of time to catch up.

I've been booted from a Rockband group for playing better than the other guitarist, and even for how my character looks. 'Tis annoying.

I got kicked from a Team Slayer match in Halo 3 because I got really lucky with some sticky grenades on the Guardian map. Got 2 Triple Kills and 3 Double Kills almost in a row. They said I was cheating, I tried to tell them I just got really lucky because the other team kept standing really close together. Guess some people don't believe in luck.

I used to get booted from infection games for being an elite. I got booted from every match I tried to join in the original Gears of War. I would get booted from slayer games for being an elite. I dont get booted much though.

I was always getting booted for humiliating the hosts with random kills on BF2142 (what the hell do you expect from a guy called RandomKilla69?).

1) I found a guy sniping, so I spotted him to shout SNIPER! at him, then fired a pistol shot at him. He chased me straight into someone ELSE'S mine, so he got kicked with me soon after him.
2) Pilum Anti Tank Rifle (or HyperSniper as I called it) shot to face. That drives them insane.
3) Parachute kill/Mario stomping. The worst kind of accident. If you played BF2142, you know what I mean.
4) Pod dropping gunships. I could land an ejector pod onto a gunship, and apparently I was "Hacking"...

I was playing on sandbox in halo. My friend was on the upper level sniping people so I run up and melee him to death. He then screams YOUR A ******! and kicks me.

Sure, giving one person power has its downfalls, but give all that power to the right person, and its the greatest thing in the world.

I remeber a counter-strike source server, it was zombie mod. And the host of it was amazing. He was competent, logical, can take a joke, bans people who deserve it without hesitation, man it was amazing. Sadly people like that are really, really rare these days.

And to the OP: I've been in your situtation, only it was a little differant. I was playing the first Vegas, and joined a random game, which happened to have a clan playing, and I got on their team. I was a Seargent. They decided to just go with it because apparently they were waiting forever for one person. I always got in 3rd, just being beat by the leader and some other person. They turned out to be friendly and I had a great time. Funny thing is, they told me to stay back and not die, because they thought I sucked. Proved them wrong. My strategies usually ended up winning us the match when we were behind.

Both those things I have done, and have been booted for, even though everyone who saw it, enemy and friend alike, were laughing their asses off.

DotA, before the game started for having the same IP as my brother.

It's funny, some people will kick you if they find out you're playing togeather, cause they're either afraid of getting pwned, or afraid of a double rage-quit when one gets pwned.
Others will kick people to make room when some random dude joins and asks for a spot for his mate
It's because they think you work together dumbfuck oblivious person, leveling on eachother and such. Even worse in Pimp my Peon where two people just constantly send peons to eachother so they get more money..

Well look I, as an Elite player model living amongst Spartans, have met some of the worst of the online (*censored*)'s in my time. There was the time my entire team kept killing me over and over again and teabagging my corpse before finally booting me based around my choice of design. And there was the time some guy kept spamming me during the match non stop with troll-worthy messages, the dude who kept shooting me in the back because I was an elite and so on. People kept booting me, people hated me and I wasn't doing anything wrong. My team shot me, my enemies shot me and naturally every time we lost a match it was somehow magically 'my fault' every single time. You know the drill, I was slow, clusmy, got hit easily and couldn't duck behind low cover... all bullshit because those never hindered me once. Of course there was the rule that because I was an elite I automatically sucked and that they were spartans and had special powers because they were 'special' (a laugh given how many of them I tore through per match) It got to the point where I wouldn't even join a match unless it was all elite players which was considerably more mature and enjoyable.

To be fair though, they weren't all like this. And it seems the 'Online Alien Citizenship Status' has finally come through and elites are being respected a little more. But like it or not, no matter how many Spartans online I have befriended... I shall always bare the emotional scars that they gave me.
yeah, i know what you mean. i love being an elite. there are a few advantages though. one: you cannot be neck shot. i actually tried this. someone tried to neck shot me, and it just passed through and hit thier teammate sneaking behind me. two: you are literally a tank. elites can take more damage (or maybe im just lucky)

anyway, i guess im a glutton for punishment, but i always return to the spartan games. i always have to be the best i can be. the thing is, if i can be better than any spartan, yes, i might be booted every now and then, but maybe people will start respecting elites more. plus, it's always fun to run up to someone with an energy sword while they are shooting at you, and hearing them when you kill them, even though they emptied a shotgun into your chest.

I was playing BF - 2142 a while a go, and the map had low gravity, and usually their is several spawn locations for one team that can be capped, and the other is uncappable so that team has to try and move up and cap the others, apparently the opposing team isnt allowed into the uncap area as u can easily spawn kill people. Fair enough right.

So i was invisible and i walked like literaly 20 meters down a ramp, towards the uncap (The area where u cap it is still ages away) and i knifed a sever admin who was sniping on the ground, and he banned me cause i was in the uncap spawn killing..... his words were

"UNCAP RAPE, SPAWN KILLING - BANNING Sambo73-1"

i think he was just pissed cause i pwned his noob ass =D
the thing i find pathetic about this is that the server admin was using the uncap area as a shield. not only that, but he wasn't freakin' spawning!

Some people need to learn to think before talking trash.
i'm not talking about me and my bro on different teams, i'm talking about when we're on the same team. It should be obvious to everyone that if 2 people 1 on each team plays "togeather" it'll ruin the game.

Now here's what i'm talking about, i'll try to make it simple so you don't make yourself look like a troll again.

DotA is a team game, consisting of 2 teams, it can be anything from 1v1 to 5v5.

Me and my brother joins, on the SAME TEAM. We get kicked. This is because of one of these 2 things.
1: Host is afraid that we're too good if we work togeather (we're still on same team, so it's not exploiting)
This only happens when me and my bro are scourge, cause host is always sentinel (almost always but you hopefully get my point)

2: Host Kicks us, regardless of whether we're on his team or the other team, because he's afraid that if one of us dies a lot, or does badly in another way we will both rage-quit. This is actually pretty justified IMO (him kicking) cause rage-quitters ruin sooo many games, and 2 quitters is worse than one.

Then again, theres hosts who will kick random people when someone asks for a slot for his mate, cause the host WANTS people to play as a team, apart from the above mentioned rage-quitting problem, this is actually a good idea, cause DotA is just more fun when a team works togeather.

What I stated in the first post is, thats it's funny how some hosts will kick people to make room for peoples mates while others will kick people he suspects are mates.

Now i fail to see how this makes me dumbfuck but i'm sure you could clarrify. I couldn't imagine that you just talked shit like that without a good reason, who would do such a thing on the internet.

Touche but you should've added that though :p
I've never seen 2 people go on different teams to "pad" each other, and i've played like 10-20 matches of Dota every week for the past 2 years. I've seen n00b-feeders, and rage-feeders but no buddies paddin geach other, unless they were so bad at doin it that it wasn't obvious.
guess i'´ve just lucky, must be a common thing when you say so.
