Ok, so i hear about all these people go on about how great snipers they are saying stuff along the lines of "Oh im a great sniper, i never die" and so i think fair enough, your playing your ego a bit, but whatever. I try and give them an idea on how good i am, without trying to butter it up, im a fairly good sniper. I'm very accurate and battle-smart, but of course im not the best, i do screw up sometimes and i pay for it and die from some moron with a machinegun (FYI i hate machineguns, not so much the ones who use it well, but the ones that camp for the whole match).

Now to the point: People say there awesome snipers, i argue, without trying to brag, not many people beat or snipe me, its lying people, if you don't believe me, try me, i want people to stop saying there good with a sniper when there not.

I'm a pretty good sniper. I usually play Team Fortress 2 and my best round began with me having a 15 kill to 1 death ratio within 5 minutes.
Otherwise I have pretty mixed luck.

Heh, snipers, I played as one all the time in COD4 team games.
Sniping isn't about getting 20 kills a game(in non DM games) but rather using your range advatage to shut down an area or path. I would much rather shut down one end of the map(and funnel people to my team or keep a path open) and go 6-0 than do my run from spot to spot and go 17-8.

I don't mind jokes by the way, but this is serious, show some actual skill, not the fact you can aim in a general direction and hold down a button until something becomes motionless, i like the idea of a sniper...

A lone wolf, possibly accompanied by a spotter, the waiting, the patience, the endurance, then the target you've been waiting for, for such a long time comes into range, the feeling of "this is a do or fail" shot, the rush you have just with that one bullet, knowing that it all rests on your own skill, you take the shot, miss or hit, you know you position could be compromised, what do you do?

I don't snipe at all anymore to be honest I used to when first started and was good then I grew out of it and have since turned into more of a versatile whatever you need me to be frontline shocktrooper/rifleman.

Mid-close is more my thing but mid-long is no problem for me either I just use say red dot sights in CoD4 for example.

I played snipers game against my brothers friends in Halo 2.

I had 4 kills.

2 beatdowns, 1 assassination and 1 stuck.

I lost by about 16...

Edit: Although I was decent in the first Star Wars Batllefront on PC as a sniper. Kashyyk was so fun as a sniper!

Cant I play both? Counter strike is the only online game I take Seriously (other than L4d) and i am fairly good, I've been clan sniper twice, but it gets boring and i will play as a marksman or even a rusher.

We could play a game i made up for snipers, called "Hunter and Prey" the Prey has to hide and then a few seconds later the Hunter has to find them and kill them, when the Prey is down they swap.
Its like a custom thing, like i may change the lives to 1, so the hunter has to use extra caution and battlesense to sniff out and kill the Prey.
Or just for fun, no lives, just play indefinitely.

Maybe you should actually become a sniper, rather than playing as one. If you love it so much.

I only use snipers to take out campers or people pilotting vehicles.

Because camping is for Wimps.
