Sniping games.

Hey all, would you be able to give me recommendations for games that revolve around sniping? Great ones only ofcourse. I've had exposure to snipers in FPS games but it seems like there's never enough of it and was just wondering if there are some cool games that are worth it, thanks.

Also, I prefer they be on the PS2 but other systems can be recommended.

I don't think there are that many...but I do remember back when PS2s were the major thing seeing a game where I think you had to snipe some of the world's most wanted, or something?

There was a game for the PC, but I can't remember the title. It was one of the off-the-wall 10 dollar discs that you picked up off the bargain shelves. But you were a sniper in that game, either a sniper or a spotter. I'll try to find it again.

Edit: Found it already. It's called Sniper Elite.

Just get yourself an AWP and find a nice place to sit still and pick off enemies.

There Silent Scope but i really recommend playing it in the arcade then on the PS2. I also recommend the flash series Sniper Assassin.

The guys that made that have released just this week Sniper: Ghost warrior, same kind of thing cept present day and lots of jungle, I'm looking to pick it up next time i get some dough.

Just replay that level on MW1 where you play as Price with Captain MacMillian.

Just about to say that. Even went and looked it up to remind me of the name. Also, is that display picture from 12 angry men?

OT: Aside from Sniper: Ghost warrior, and the arcade games, there is a really limited choice. Farcry 2 had some good sniping, but it's limited by ammo and weapon condition. The only other option I can think off is RPGS which offer sniper classes, like borderlands and mass effect.

Sniper Elite is probably the best. I think it's on the PC and original Xbox.

ArmA II has great sniping too, especially with the ACE2 mod installed.

Joint Ops Typhoon Rising is good for sniping although its not based on sniping and its geting a bit dated now since the terain never ends you can allways skirt around the back of the enamy and pop some heads

totally agree. any of the battlefield games have some amount of sniping in them.
