but all that adds random effects to game that would compromise gameplay. You have to be impressed by some of the amazing awp shots that some people perform in CS. But i still think it takes more skill to pull off twitch ak shots to the head in cs than it is to AWP.Eyclonus said:I brought up the topic of sniping in games within earshot of an ex-paratrooper/ranger once.
He wasn't an actual sniper per se but the one of the spotters paired off with a sniper.
There so many things that developers have left out in regards to sniping, like free-floating barrels, corolis effect (Don't say CoD4 has that, its just a scrap of dialogue), trigger pull and heart-rate.
I believe that any player who says it comes naturally to them and didn't spend any time just stuffing around in an empty map are liars with their genitals on their heads, or bloody cheaters who'd be left helpless without their beloved aimbots
I don't consider myself an ace in video games, but I do quite well in most games, but I am so infuriated at CSS jerks and the obsession with "1337 sniper skillz" who using a f%#king bolt action rifle for close-quarters combat against SMGs.
I'm not calling it BS, it just seems...unlikely, that's all.Gitsnik said:Can't provide a video of me (there's no pictures of me on the net except for a court photo - but we won't get into that) but there's others who can do it (check some of the comments here: http://mythbusters-wiki.discovery.com/thread/924069/Catching+Arrow?t=anon ).Enskie said:I totally agree on the mouse thing, and it absolutely MUST be wireless. But on another topic, I call bullshit on you catching arrows, maybe knives but unless someone threw the arrow at you, then I say you're lying.
I never said how fast it was going. I wouldn't try it fired from a compound bow for example, but we used to do this with the bows we had in high school. All 6 of us (me and 5 mates) could do it - though we had a fair few accidents!
*shrugs* call BS or not, doesn't phase me. Nothing to prove, nothing to lose.
First of all the Coriolis Effect is very easy to predict, its to do with the Earth's rotation, and would only factor into calculations when the target exceeds 300 metric metres.Jazzyluv said:but all that adds random effects to game that would compromise gameplay. Also...... there are not that many aimbotters in CS..... its like 1/100 or less even that actually do it regurally
Yeah and with the release of steam there will be more anti-cheating systems like valves on almost every game :OEyclonus said:However I was wrong on the hacks on CSS, I was not aware of Valve's anti-cheating system.
Unfortunately, VAC is a little bit hit and miss. Every time I play CSS, which is rarely I'll admit, someone, if not everyone, will be cheating.Eyclonus said:However I was wrong on the hacks on CSS, I was not aware of Valve's anti-cheating system.
Oh, yeah? Well, I can catch light photons with my kneecaps!Mark Blackmod said:It comes from innate skill. My reflexes are naturally so good that when I was a Junior in High School I could catch bullets using my earlobes!
Its also futile, since if more then 2 come at you, your not going to catch them allHSIAMetalKing said:Also, catching knives/arrows out of the air probably sounds a lot cooler than it actually is.
That's still possible without cheating, just not very easy. You pretty much only need to know the height of a standing player's head and have good reflexes and timing. Have the crosshair aimed at where a player's head will be when they've run around the corner and pull the trigger at the right time.Lord Krunk said:Some people are really good with sniper rifles.
However, the sort of people who shoot you as soon as you run from behind a corner are generally aimbotting. Either try to get the bastard kicked, or just quit.
Hackers make me sick.
