Eggo said:I am a little insulted that you would call me a bitter loser just because I think rap sucks. Granted, some people feel it does, some feel it doesn't, still doesn't mean any of the two is wrong. And it certainly doesn't mean it's ok to call someone a nerdy bitter loser.Merciless.Fire said:Nerdy and bitter losers talking about how much rap sucks/is talentless on the internet is way worse, or at least, far more annoying, than what you described.Sennz0r said:Oh, come on that's uncalled for. You know very well a lot of people over here were never the popular kid. By saying something like that you're no better than the jock picking on the unpopular kids in high school.Eggo said:Only if you're that lame nerdy kid from high school.

It takes a little bit more than the ability to talk to rap like Snoop. Try rapping along with some of his older stuff with Dre. A decent sense of rhythm is a must, and then you have to make it sound good. I don't think rapping is singing, but you can't phone it in either. You have to have a little skill to sound good.Caliostro said:Requirements to rap like Snoop Dogg:Eggo said:Yeah, rapping is so easy anyone can do it as well as Snoop Dogg.

Well, as much as I would disagree with his trollish tone, I could just as easily say something like that with any musician. That's just trivializing people's talent.Caliostro said:Requirements to rap like Snoop Dogg:Eggo said:Yeah, rapping is so easy anyone can do it as well as Snoop Dogg.

Well, this is hardly serious business to me either, but the genre is just different. Rock and Rap are rarely combined and Snoop Dogg has never been classified as Rock by any means. If a Rap rhythm game by Harmonix/MTV comes out, then sure, go for it, but to shoehorn a rap artist into what is traditionally a rock music game is a bit off, even if it is for greater exposure/expansion/whatever.apsham said:Would you people shut the hell up. It's trying to broaden appeal of the game, and it's DLC... you don't have to buy it. I swear to god some people just want to find something to ***** about in games these days. I hate hip-hop\rap music but AT LEAST it's Snoop Dogg and not some shit indy band that's been dug out of no where.

Also, I really think Snoop could be featured in a video game if he tried. Proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXzg0D-cKds
:O
Laughs aside, this does present an identity crisis for the plastic-instrument-game genre. So far as I can recall they have mostly been identified by rock music with a few outliers like that Wii maraca game, Donkey Konga, and singalong games. I wonder what other genres will elbow their way into Rock Band next? The Dixie Chicks?
