Oh, good one.MaxTheReaper said:You can't ruin what wasn't good in the first place.Thunderhorse said:http://www.rockbandcontent.com/rbc/blog/2009/02/238/
So, I wake up this morning, and see this. Anybody else think this awesome, or is there no way it could translate properly? I for one, think its a fantastic idea, and could totally open up Rock Band to a different crowd. Or at least provide some more fun songs to ruin while drunk.
that song sucked. If anything it was a drink break during the endless set list. I think there were like 50 notes to actually hit in that one. I imagine snoop's songs aren't going to be much better in that departmentapsham said:That is the beauty of Rock Band though; you do realize that there's a Beastie Boys song in it (GASP, HIP-HOP THEMSELVES!?) that requires a monkey with a brief idea of timing to play bass right? There are lots of songs that BARELY need you to be there to succeed and depending on the Snoop songs chosen... well, let's just say there IS back music in some.fsanch said:Well, this is hardly serious business to me either, but the genre is just different. Rock and Rap are rarely combined and Snoop Dogg has never been classified as Rock by any means. If a Rap rhythm game by Harmonix/MTV comes out, then sure, go for it, but to shoehorn a rap artist into what is traditionally a rock music game is a bit off, even if it is for greater exposure/expansion/whatever.apsham said:Would you people shut the hell up. It's trying to broaden appeal of the game, and it's DLC... you don't have to buy it. I swear to god some people just want to find something to ***** about in games these days. I hate hip-hop\rap music but AT LEAST it's Snoop Dogg and not some shit indy band that's been dug out of no where.
It's certainly inevitable, but you wonder how it even might work with songs that don't have as much if any guitar.
This stuff is DLC, certainly, but you wonder if now there are any limits at all to it. I think making a general music game is probably on the horizon.
