One day I will be in Aus and never have to suffer this shit again!
To say I hate snow would be an understatment, being so cold it hurts even in doors and walking half my normal speed out of fear of falling over and splitting my skull open.
Last year atleast two people died, a fireman and little girl slipped and smacked there head on the ground.
This year is worse now, I am on a non-paid work placement putting junk mail through peoples doors. So not only am I risking death and freezing, I am doing it for an almost worthless cause (we put out about 500 bags to be filled with unwanted stuff, we got 66 back which was a record ...) 'cos most bags go straight into the bin.
All this just so I get work experiance and a referance for any future jobs interviews.
For people in the UK I am working for the british heart foundation, who get ALOT of stuff donated and a healthy amount of it gets thrown away, another good sized portion gets sent to "the rag man" who weighs ripped clothes etc and for every tonne they get £800, only a small amount actually gets sold in the shops.

Get over it. I have 30cm of snow ON MY CAR ALONE and I still have to get to work. Honestly since I live in Poland and we usually get quite a bit of snow in the winter (currently snow and -15C*), thus we learned to not care about it. If it is there than it's just slightly hardened water. A vehicle weighing over a ton can easily drive over that. And if not? Well than I will at least have a few free days from work

.
The difference is, your country probably kicks ass at clearing and coping with snow, getting grit down to melt it etc. We suck at it, seriously ... imagine a bunch of 6 year olds trying to read les miserables.
