So, a new Eeveeolution just appeared, what type do YOU think its type will be?

It really doesn't fit in line with any current type of Pokemon, so we'll just have to see. If they do go ahead and introduce the 'light' type, I'm pretty sure that's what this Eevee will be. What better way to introduce a new type than with an Eeveeolution?

I really hope this is the introduction of a new type like light or something. It has been three games since we had a new type now is the time!

Although I agree with OP looks like this is Eevee's new fighting evolution, or as has already been said the stronger normal type B(, I gotta say it does look very cute and I do like the design. People say the designs are going to shit but I have had favourites out of all the new poke gens, this series will always be dear to me and I think its not getting any worse its just not doing much at all.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
The only logical explination is that nintendo will jump on the pony bandwagon and it will be Rarity.

Because she is best pony.

Not sold on the style, too cutesy, which sucks for me cause I love Eevee and all of its evolutions. Then again I can't exactly complain since I have so many different Eeveelutions to choose from.

As for type I think it might be ghost based on its sort of wispy appearance and its faint coloration and the blue/white eye color (they eyes just seem ghost like). Alternatively I did hear someone speculating the addition of a Light type into the game to directly counter dark, then again someone pointed out that psychic type is called Light in the japanese translations. Still would love to see it happen though.

My initial thought on the possible type is Normal since its colour scheme and eyes remind me of Audino which is also an normal type. However someone I know came up that good guess that it could be a Flying type.

His reason is that the Japanese Eevee and its evolution names are similar to the ones we know e.g. Glaceon is Glacia in Japanese therefore we can assume its English could be Nineon

He came up that "Nin" could be a play on word on Nimbus which is a cloud therefore a flying type (Nimbeon?). Granted when I told a friend about this theory, she theory that it could be a bug type since she think Nin could be "Nymph" which means a few things like the spirit of nature (nope, Leafeon got that cover for being a grass type) or a immature form or an insect and it's a name of a butterfly.

To me, it seems like Ninfia would be a flying type, since one of the Corocoro screenshots make it appear as if it had feathers around it when doing an attack (possibly Featherdance?) and it does give off that...airy feel about it, like it is blowing against the wind (though so did Suicune, but...eh).

Apart from that, it looks very much like I would expect from an eeveelution: Simple and to the point (at least it will be to the point when we finally know its type)

It's the long await normal type evolution that you get from leveling it to level 100! A reward for being an indecisive fence-sitter for a ton of levels, hooray!

Ghost type maybe? A steel type would be cool though.
Am I evil in thinking "Hmm, I wonder if to evolve into a ghost Eevee they should make you trade it while holding scissors or something"

Poor eevee :(

I'm not sure, maybe a psychic type? I kind of looks similar to existing pokemon like that.

I don't really like it. The Eeveeolutions have always been sort of badass and cool, but this one is all....cutsey.

Anyway, from looking at it for a while the only clear link to any type it could possibly have is normal. It has cute sparkle effects on it though, so maybe that amounts to something.

EDIT: Actually, it reminds me of the pink 'fairy' Pokemon, like Chansey, Jigglypuff, Clefairy. So, maybe it's a 'fairy' Pokemon as well - and its name does resemble the word Nymph, which is a type of fairy.

I really don't know. No matter what, I think there's far better fan evolutions out there.

Well, a video has been released and revealed the English name is Sylveon.

I couldn't really tell much from the attacks, only one I recognised was swift. The name doesn't really suggest anything either but I am leaning a bit more towards a normal type seeing as the attacks didn't seem to show any real type preference but that could be Nintendo trying to hide the typing of Sylveon.

EDIT: The name to me suggest a play on the word silver which would suggest a steel type but it doesn't look like it would be steel at all.

They revealed its english name to be Sylveon. Sylv sounds almost identical to Sylph, which are mythical beings of air. This thing has to be flying type based off the naming conventions of all the past eevees.
