Skyrim lets you become a werewolf. There's two different werewolf-related plotlines that I know of:

1. Join the Companions (Fighter's Guild) and you are eventually inducted as a werewolf.

2. In one of the southern towns, there's a prisoner who asks for your help to break his curse.
Bah, want real werewolves and not copies of Twilight werewolves? Become a werewolf in Morrowind: Bloodmoon, now that's a real werewolf.

There's also Disgaea 4 where one of the party members is a werewolf.
*Blinks* How, oh how, are the werewolves in Skyrim like Twilight werewolves?

I wasn't being serious :)

If I remember in Skyrim being werewolf is just a transformation and doesn't really suck in any way, but in Morrowind you need to kill every time you transform or suffer damage (and it's involuntarily until you complete the main quest) and if you are caught transforming you are completely screwed.
Ah, I didn't play much of Morrowind, I got frustrated with the mechanics of it. Yeah, you don't get hurt if you don't eat in Skyrim, but your time as a werewolf slowly ticks down. You have to keep eating regularly to maintain your form. Which made for a fun persona challenge of mine. After I first gained the lycanthropy, I went running due east, eating bandits and animals along the way, until I got to the zone edge. I then turned around and ran due west until I hit the edge too. I wanted to see how many times I could cross Skyrim in one shapeshift, before reverting back to human. I was able to pull it off for 3 times, which lasted I think 2 in game days, before I basically got bored of it and just let myself revert back. xD It was fun though, I felt like a badass, roaming the lands, killing and feasting as I saw fit, to forever fuel my beastly form of dominance.

Damn....now I want to reload Skyrim and play a werewolf again.

You could always just play Werewolf. You need like 8 people, not including the guy that runs it to be fun.

Fable (the original or Anniversary) have creatures called Balverines which are pretty much just Werewolves. There's a few subplots relating to them. I am unsure if they feature in the sequels as I've been unable to play them (being a PC gamer)

Baldur's Gate series has Werewolves, there's an island of them in the first game, and in the second there's a druid grove where you will find some. You can also become a Shapeshifter Druid class and be a werewolf if you so choose.

Don't Starve let's you play as a character who is a Were-Beaver... there's also Were-Pigs

Star Ocean had a werewolf character.

So did Secret of Mana 3(I can't remember the actual, Japanese name), who was a possible PC. He was a half-breed, so while all the other werewolves talk like normal people, Kevin talks like he's....slow.

Breath of Fire 3 had a were-tiger, which was weird because his normal form was being a tiger-dude. So really, he just bulked up and went berserk when he transformed.

Are you talking about a video game of that name, or the White Wolf game lines of Apocalypse or Forsaken?

Because if we're going away from video games, hell yeah play those. However I got the impression the OP was looking for video games.

I'll second Blood of the Werewolf. The game is a bit rough, but a very challenging platformer in the vein of your Megamans and (moreso) Castlevanias. It's cheesy, but gets the job done.

Discworld Noir also contains werewolves and some pretty interesting mechanics related to them. It's a point'n'click adventure though (great game!).

Someone already said Skyrim but I'd still also recommend it on PC using mods. There are some pretty good mods out there that expand on the extremely limited vanilla werewolf function including forced transformaions, lunar cycles and stat bonuses in human form.

Although I haven't used them I have also seen mods that add werebear content and the ability to infect other NPCs and create your own pack.

Oooh, the "make your own pack" mod sounds delicious xD. As well as the lunar cycle thing too. Might have to go track those down.

Why yes, I will run through the woods and the hills, my howls of dominance shall shake the very dome of Skyrim!

Man, this thread really blossomed. Thanks for the all the suggestions guys.
I've decided to pick up:
Gabriel Knight: The Beast Within
Blood of the Werewolf
Discworld Noir

And I'll keep an eye out for Bloodborne.

Most of the others I've already played sadly. I kinda miss my Worgen character in particular and I wish for the life of me I had a good PC to run Skyrim to get in on some of those sweet, sweet werewolf mods @Dandark mentioned.

Out of curiosity are you talking about the tabletop role-playing game Werewolf: The Apocalypse or Werewolf: The Forsaken? If so I'm really into the The Apocalypse series in particular but I haven't found many people to play with me so I just end up reading the books and collecting the cards. So lonely am I.

Diablo 2 : Lord of Destruction has the Druid, who can transform into a wolf. However this is one class out of seven and AFAIK (though I haven't used the druid class much) most builds don't use it, although this is mainly to use werebear instead.

Here are some links for you and anyone else who is interested.

This is what I use. It adds in customizable lunar cycles and contains a bunch of customization options for your werewolf including skins. It also lets you infect followers but doesn't have any pack mechanics.

This is a sound pack that really improves the werewolf sounds, it's compatible with Moonlight tales and well worth installing.

I haven't used this mod myself because it added so much content and I preferred what I already had. It's been a while since I looked at it and it seems to have been updated with multiple overhauls now but it seems to still contain the old nature of the beat overhaul which adds to the were beast experience. It adds a lot of cool features to the werewolf including a scent system, the ability to climb structures and some pack mechanics. Be warned this mod looks huge, I haven't used it myself so I don't know how it works and he seems to have removed a lot of the old beast race features from his page.

I just use the first two to expand the vanilla experience and using a follower overhaul mod to have multiple followers at once will likely allow you to make a were pack.
