*Blinks* How, oh how, are the werewolves in Skyrim like Twilight werewolves?inu-kun said:Bah, want real werewolves and not copies of Twilight werewolves? Become a werewolf in Morrowind: Bloodmoon, now that's a real werewolf.Grumman said:Skyrim lets you become a werewolf. There's two different werewolf-related plotlines that I know of:
1. Join the Companions (Fighter's Guild) and you are eventually inducted as a werewolf.
2. In one of the southern towns, there's a prisoner who asks for your help to break his curse.
There's also Disgaea 4 where one of the party members is a werewolf.
Ah, I didn't play much of Morrowind, I got frustrated with the mechanics of it. Yeah, you don't get hurt if you don't eat in Skyrim, but your time as a werewolf slowly ticks down. You have to keep eating regularly to maintain your form. Which made for a fun persona challenge of mine. After I first gained the lycanthropy, I went running due east, eating bandits and animals along the way, until I got to the zone edge. I then turned around and ran due west until I hit the edge too. I wanted to see how many times I could cross Skyrim in one shapeshift, before reverting back to human. I was able to pull it off for 3 times, which lasted I think 2 in game days, before I basically got bored of it and just let myself revert back. xD It was fun though, I felt like a badass, roaming the lands, killing and feasting as I saw fit, to forever fuel my beastly form of dominance.inu-kun said:I wasn't being seriousHappyninja42 said:*Blinks* How, oh how, are the werewolves in Skyrim like Twilight werewolves?inu-kun said:Bah, want real werewolves and not copies of Twilight werewolves? If I remember in Skyrim being werewolf is just a transformation and doesn't really suck in any way, but in Morrowind you need to kill every time you transform or suffer damage (and it's involuntarily until you complete the main quest) and if you are caught transforming you are completely screwed.
Are you talking about a video game of that name, or the White Wolf game lines of Apocalypse or Forsaken?SirNolan said:You could always just play Werewolf. You need like 8 people, not including the guy that runs it to be fun.
Oooh, the "make your own pack" mod sounds delicious xD. As well as the lunar cycle thing too. Might have to go track those down.Dandark said:Someone already said Skyrim but I'd still also recommend it on PC using mods. There are some pretty good mods out there that expand on the extremely limited vanilla werewolf function including forced transformaions, lunar cycles and stat bonuses in human form.
Although I haven't used them I have also seen mods that add werebear content and the ability to infect other NPCs and create your own pack.
Out of curiosity are you talking about the tabletop role-playing game Werewolf: The Apocalypse or Werewolf: The Forsaken? If so I'm really into the The Apocalypse series in particular but I haven't found many people to play with me so I just end up reading the books and collecting the cards. So lonely am I.SirNolan said:You could always just play Werewolf. You need like 8 people, not including the guy that runs it to be fun.
Here are some links for you and anyone else who is interested.Happyninja42 said:Oooh, the "make your own pack" mod sounds delicious xD. As well as the lunar cycle thing too.
