There might be a hair more gore than your friend is ok with but I'm still gonna suggest Lockout. The one liners and puns are spine tingling bad. And the CGI... Oh god, the CGI. I would buy this movie just to have it and play it at parties and shit, but I think it would cause me physical pain at the cash register.

This is a pretty good representation of the entire film.

Here is MovieBob's assessment...

I thought that was actually legitimately pretty good (judging from the clip alone).
Cheesy, but not hilariously bad.
If it had been starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and came out in the 80's people would probably be hailing it as a classic like Terminator or Total Recall.

Your profile doesn't say where you're from, so if you happen to be from Sweden I definetly recomend Sökarna. Low budget film from the early 90's and it's so fucking horrible you can't help but laugh. Cheesy dialogue, bad actors and all around a weird fucking movie.

I'm going to suggest Zombie Flesh Eaters 2, released as Zombi 3 in the states according to wikipedia. It's a zombie movie with some of the most appalling acting I have ever seen and it is hysterical. The bloke who plays the scientist is on another level of bad.

The action & storyline jumps all over the place because of part of the footage being shot a different director who was going for a voodoo zombie outbreak rather than biozombies, but none of it makes sense anyway.

Also I'd like to suggest Hobo with a Shotgun, but that is a film that is deliberately trying to be bad. It has +1 to Rutger Hauer though so how can you not watch it?

mega shark vs giant octopus - see where your suspension of disbelief breaks. Especially fun when drinking.
Hercules (1985), the one with Lou Ferringo, I'm pretty sure gave some inspiration for Rita from Power Rangers and Hercules throws a bear into space. Don't watch the sequel since you want bad good and not mind destroying.

Watch any movies from The Asylum movie studio. They're perfect for the "so bad it's great" kind of movies. And even better, they're made to be ripoffs of other popular movies!
Some particularly good ones include: The Terminators, Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus (and it's amazing sequel, Mega Shark Versus Crocosaurus), and Nazis at the Centre of The Earth.

I'd also suggest the movie Dinoshark, and I'll second The Room as the greatest bad movie ever made.

All I have to say is... ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES!

I saw it once when cripplingly tired after a three hour drive to my grandparents place but alas cannot remember if I enjoyed it or not. The trailer however is rather entertaining.

I love "so bad they're good" movies, and bar none the best and funniest one I've ever scene is "Miami Connection". It involves a group of 5 UCF students who are in a 80's synth band and are Tae Kwon Do experts who get involved in fighting drug dealers and a gang of motorcycle-riding Ninjas. Yes, seriously. Here's the trailer:

Other ones I'd recommend are "The Room", and "Birdemic: Shock and Terror" ("Birdemic" is so awful I'm pretty sure it's actually some sort of psychological experiment).

Even though one of your group said they don't like gore, I'd still recommend "Riki-oh: The Story of Ricky". It's insanely gory, but the special effects are so bad that it just comes across as hilarious and not gross. Make sure to watch the dubbed version, not subtitles (it's a film from Hong Kong) as that makes it much funnier.

I'd Have to go with Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter. It has no relation to the similarly titled Abraham Lincoln movie. It's a low budget movie about Jesus returning to modern times to hunt down vampires who have been killing his priests and worshipers. Oh and he teams up with famous Mexican luchadour wrestler Santo, to stop them.

Have you seen Exte: Hair Extensions? It's a J-horror movie about haunted hair extensions. It's not "overly gory", but it does have a certain 'squick' factor as well. If you can get past that, it's probably one of the weirdest, and certainly more enjoyable movies that I own.

Don't forget "THE POWER OF CHRIST IMPALES YOU!" easily one of my favorite taglines for anything!

OT: I'm surprised nobody's mentioned "Manos: The Hands of Fate" yet, one of the many, many, many crappy films turned into cult classics by MST3K.
That movie makes The Room look like Citizen Kane.

Some of my personal favorite bad movies are the Cube series. They are down right terrible, but in an enjoyable mannor. The plot of the movie is a bunch of people, stuck in what basically is a gaint rubix cube of death. Another one is Rubber, which stars a killer tire.
When it comes to horror movies, for bad ones, i'm a fan of hear no evil and darkness falls. Both are bad, but in different ways. I mean, darkness falls has a killer tooth fairy. Come on.
Lastly, one of the worst movies iv ever witnessed, yet enjoyed it for how different it was.. Was Bad Reputation. This movie has a terrible plot about revenge, where okay sure, she gets the first guy, but then why do the rest of them fall for her plans? I dunno. It was bad.

Those are my suggestions of so bad their good movies, hope you enjoy them!

I second "The Cube" movies.
Day of the Tiffids. I think that's the title. It was a two part tv movie shown not to far back. Definite so bad it's good but clearly a lot of work went into it.
Blade 3
not sure if this would meet your criteria but Space Milkshake. Space station attacked by a mutant rubber duck voiced by George Takai. Honestly can't decide if it was supposed to be a spoof or if they were serious and it's so Canadian tax credit it hurts(also filmed entirely in Saskatchewan)

Well, most of the movies that I say are hilariously bad are usually still given high praises (like the Micheal Bay Transformers trilogy), so I'll just go with The Guyver... It has Mark Hamill in it... and you don't even have to know what the movie is based on in order to see just how hilariously bad it can get...
I have the sequel on DVD. It stars David Hayter as Sean Barker and almost fallst into 'So good it's bad' category if it weren't for the female lead. She's eye cancer bad.

I can recommend Hellbinders. A movie that is part comic book, starring Ray 'Darth Maul' Park and Johnny Yong Bosch. I enjoyed it.

Hercules: The Adventures of Hercules, 1983 I believe. A "B" movie in every aspect, the day before finals we all agreed to study up on our respective classes until we found this gem. Read the description of how "Hercules must cross the rainbow bridge into hell" and no actual studying was accomplished that day. Honestly, it's a great movie to heckle with friends, and these are just some of the great things about it and to top it all off, several things get thrown into space. http://s.mcstatic.com/thumb/6144197/17615114/4/flash_player/0/1/hercules_1983_film_space_chariot.jpg?v=2

*Edit* Didn't realize it until recently that The Big Picture actually had 2 episodes dedicated to this film...So much for my hopes in bringing up an obscure movie that somehow fit perfectly into this category (hipster alter-ego dies)

I loved the cheesy one liners and how the "hero" was played as a supercool douche that knows just how cool he is, but the movie falls apart on the story and the CGI. If this movie had came out in the 80's it probably would be a classic, problem is it came out in 2012. I see cheesy and bad story as hilariously bad.

Thanks for the recommendations guys.

We just finished two sessions in a row, with weird results, so it will be good to bring something off-the-wall for next time.

We did Dragonball Evolution, which was just painful to the point where we couldn't even make fun of it because it felt like calling a mentally challenged kid a retard, while the Twilight movies were better for our purposes, but the problem was that they were ridiculously long.

Part 1 was just boring (though it at least had its WTF moments we could discuss and laugh at), while part 2 was, shockingly, quite decent. This time the actors were allowed a greater range than "angsty twat" and "constipated", the plot was tolerable, the battle at the end was surprisingly well-executed and dynamic and we just couldn't really get a proper grip on it from which point we could mock the movie like the previous ones...

So yeah, thanks again, hopefully the next session is going to be better thanks to you. :)

FLASH ...............AAAAAAH AHHHHHHH

Seriously Flash Gordon has to be one of my favourite films, it is just so amazingly awful and wonderful!! Timothy Dalton, Brian BLOODY Blessed and of course cheesy colourful sets overpowered by the ostentatious over acting! So good.
