Hi there. My name's J.C. aka Strain42, I'm 23 years old, a Dramatic Writing student here at SCAD, and I don't really have a lotta friends, so just kinda looking for people to talk to.

I'm a big fan of MegaTen games, and Pokemon (though I don't play competitively) I love comic books, always looking for new comic book friends. I like watching Kaiju films, and I'm a big fan of cartoons.

I'm not really a fan of Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, or Game of Thrones, and I pretty actively dislike The Big Bang Theory. Shows I do love include Community, Futurama, and The Critic.

I'm working on a webcomic about demons who work in a restaurant that I'm hoping to eventually get off the ground, and I currently work reviewing iOS games.

So basically if anyone wants to chat about the upcoming Pokemon games or discuss who was the best Ant-Man or something, I'm right here.

Have a nice day.
'llo, JC, nice to meet'cha.

I'mma just go through your post point by point and respond to each as it comes up.

Dramatic Writing studies: I'm intrigued. I've heard of Creative writing, but Dramatic writing, less so. Do tell me more.

MegaTen games: Never played, hear they're good.

Pokemon: Eh,I had my pokemon phase, and it really never reignited.

Comic books: They fascinate me, though I never really read them. Guess I'm weird like that.

Kaiju films: Not my thing.

Cartoons: You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn't like a single cartoon, and I do like quite a few.

Doctor Who: Eh, show's alright I guess, fans can get bloody annoying tho.

Walking Dead: Same deal as DW.

Game of Thrones: One of the better shows on TV these days, but then again, there's not a lot of competition.

Big Bang Theory: A lot of the time, it kind of makes me laugh. I guess that makes me a terrible geek.

Community: Never *got* the humor, in the same way I never *got* Monthy Python.

Futurama: It's alright.

The Critic: Haven't seen.

Webcomic you're doing: Cool. Some webcomics really work (See xkcd, Goblins), other's...don't (whatever Tim Buckley called his mess, countless others I've tried to repress the memories of). I'm optimistic, though, your premise sounds kinda fun.

iOS game reviews: Huh, nice. I don't own an iPhone or an Android, so I'm kind of behind the times, but still, that kind of stuff is neat.

Aaand that's about that, feel free to hit me up, either on PM or on skype (I should have my adress on my profile here)

Matt Berry gif? Well, now I want to be your friend.

OT: I just dropped in to say my favourite description I ever heard of The Big Bang Theory was that it's essentially 'nerd blackface'. I just like to distribute that wherever I can because I think it's hilarious.

We out!

I'm afraid I have enough friends already, but I do have an opening for a new nemesis if you fancy it? Ideal if you happen to be a deformed megalomaniac.

You love Pokemon but don't play competitively? You sound like a cool guy. I'm currently playing through White 2 a second time and having a blast. In addition to that, I also bought and played through Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness off of Amazon a month ago. Pretty much anything to do with main series Pokemon games and I'm all over that shit. I also love Futurama, it sure is a shame it's been cancelled for the millionth time.

Oh, and don't impale me or anything, but I like the Big Bang Theo-NO, NOT THE FACE!

I'm also upset at the glaring lack of news, it seemed like at this time when Black and White came out, we had all sorts of new Pokemon to speculate about. We still don't even know what the new starters evolve into! I want to know this information, so I know which one I'll choose. The first form means nothing, it's the final evolution that matters.
I kind of disagree. It also might seem that way because X and Y are getting released at the same time worldwide, so this might be normal for them Japanese folks to not have much info at this point.

Back in September of 2009, Black and White got released in Japan and the first thing I did was the through every single Pokemon in the Pokedex. It kind of ruined it for me after that, since I knew pretty much every Pokemon before I even got to play the game. Shroud the game in mystery I say!

Mr. 42, if that is your real name, I would consider it an option, as i too do like playing the Pokeymans.
However, I am reminded of words of true wisdom from my youth:

"I don't keep friends. In times of war they can be tortured and reveal secrets about you."

Well that escalated quickly :O Hi everybody, thanks for all the fun replies and friend requests.

It's nice to make friends ^^

In regards to Gen 6, I have to admit that it's not leaving the best taste in my mouth right now. I mean the starters are fine (I usually don't end up using my starter in my main team though, so it depends on how they evolve) I actually like the Legendaries, it's nice after 2 gens to see them moving away from Dragons, but beyond that...yeah, all we've gotten is the new Eeveelution and the new Mewtation (which I agree, it would have been better if it'd just been a new Pokemon. Even if it had been sort of a Manaphy/Phione thing) I'm getting more of a Gen 4 vibe from it so far, which was probably my least favorite. But I'm willing to wait until we get more news before I pass judgement.

To all my new friends who also dislike The Big Bang Theory, if you haven't, you should totally read this blog post. It really does capture what it is about that show that rubs me the wrong way.

http://butmyopinionisright.tumblr.com/post/31079561065/the-problem-with-the-big-bang-theory

But we shouldn't base our friendship on hatred...in public >_> so let's go back to talking about happy things!

Don't worry guy, I will protect this secret with my life if need be.

More on topic, I don't read a large variety of comics, but when I do, I read cosmic Marvel (<--sorry). If you are a fan of talking raccoons and telepathic dogs we will get along spectacularly.

One user on here who is pretty big into comics is Fappy- guy really likes the Avengers.

OH- before I forget. The best Ant-Man is clearly Eric O'Grady. He is so heroic.
I did just start reading the new Guardians of the Galaxy series, and I absolutely love Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers, so I totally get where you're coming from lol

I personally like Scott Lang the best, but Eric did have a really good overall arc.

It's basically the same thing only with a focus on scripts and screenplays over novels and short stories. A lot of my dream jobs require being able to write a good script, so it's definitely something I want to focus on.

Again, it's great to meet all my new friends :D hope your days are going well.
