Hi there. My name's J.C. aka Strain42, I'm 23 years old, a Dramatic Writing student here at SCAD, and I don't really have a lotta friends, so just kinda looking for people to talk to.
I'm a big fan of MegaTen games, and Pokemon (though I don't play competitively) I love comic books, always looking for new comic book friends. I like watching Kaiju films, and I'm a big fan of cartoons.
I'm not really a fan of Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, or Game of Thrones, and I pretty actively dislike The Big Bang Theory. Shows I do love include Community, Futurama, and The Critic.
I'm working on a webcomic about demons who work in a restaurant that I'm hoping to eventually get off the ground, and I currently work reviewing iOS games.
So basically if anyone wants to chat about the upcoming Pokemon games or discuss who was the best Ant-Man or something, I'm right here.
Have a nice day.
'llo, JC, nice to meet'cha.
I'mma just go through your post point by point and respond to each as it comes up.
Dramatic Writing studies: I'm intrigued. I've heard of Creative writing, but Dramatic writing, less so. Do tell me more.
MegaTen games: Never played, hear they're good.
Pokemon: Eh,I had my pokemon phase, and it really never reignited.
Comic books: They fascinate me, though I never really read them. Guess I'm weird like that.
Kaiju films: Not my thing.
Cartoons: You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn't like a single cartoon, and I do like quite a few.
Doctor Who: Eh, show's alright I guess, fans can get bloody annoying tho.
Walking Dead: Same deal as DW.
Game of Thrones: One of the better shows on TV these days, but then again, there's not a lot of competition.
Big Bang Theory: A lot of the time, it kind of makes me laugh. I guess that makes me a terrible geek.
Community: Never *got* the humor, in the same way I never *got* Monthy Python.
Futurama: It's alright.
The Critic: Haven't seen.
Webcomic you're doing: Cool. Some webcomics really work (See xkcd, Goblins), other's...don't (whatever Tim Buckley called his mess, countless others I've tried to repress the memories of). I'm optimistic, though, your premise sounds kinda fun.
iOS game reviews: Huh, nice. I don't own an iPhone or an Android, so I'm kind of behind the times, but still, that kind of stuff is neat.
Aaand that's about that, feel free to hit me up, either on PM or on skype (I should have my adress on my profile here)
