I heard that Dark Soul 3 didn't work very well. I was waiting until it was fixed before I buy it. I haven't seen any news on it lately

So... Does it work yet?

It... runs? Assuming that's what you're wondering.

I've entered NG+++ and the only crashes I've had were really close to the launch date, so it's safe to complete the game without worry I think. There's been updates but I'm not exactly sure what they were for.

Haven't bought it yet, but my brother played through the game and didn't complain about any issues - and he complains about everything. Unless it's hardware on your end, I haven't heard much about issues with the game on PC.

It runs fine on my system. It helps that I use the same GPU that it was tested on though (GTX970).

I would assume you are referring to the hacking and cheater problem causing innocent users to get banned because some shit head put a hacked item into their game.

If so.

Then no. That shit is still around.

If you just mean playable, then yes....offline.

Bummer, I hope that From has gotten its shit together by the time the steam summer sale rolls around since thats around the time I plan to pick it up, but if they haven't fixed the "cheaters infecting your game and getting you banned" problem by then, yeah, I'm probably just going to wait

My game has problems with Lothric Castle and Firelink shrine just running like ass, while the majority of the game runs perfectly fine. But it may be on my end because I don't know much about COMPUTERS.

But yes, it runs well for everyone else that i've played with.

I don't know if anyone has worked out what pc specs where causing people trouble either. I've got a GTX 970 and the only issue I've ever had is the character creator freezing on me a couple of times.

The major issues are apparent really early on (like CTD when using bonfires) so you could give it a shot and then get a refund. As long as you're good enough to beat the first boss in under 2 hours of course (you can do in under 30 minutes fairly easily)

No crashes that I can remember. The framerate, however, would rarely get to 60 and chugged bigtime in a few areas. I'm running a GTX660ti though, so I suppose that's to be expected T-T

Runs fine on my rig. Does start to bleed chug after an 8 hour session though but exiting out fixes it.

As for the cheaters, not seen a single one in around 120 hours, nor do I know anyone who has.

Works fine for me (i7 4771/GTX670), however should you have the audacity to have more peripherals than keyboard/mouse/control pad plugged in get ready to do the Device Manager shuffle every time you want to play.

Don't own either, nor do I intend to buy either, even if I had the money I'm pretty sure that DSIII runs at 30fps on them, and even if it does run at 60 fps, yeah, their is no fucking way I am shelling out a monthly subscription for the "privilege" of playing online

The game still has a lot of issues with the game flagging innocent users for "invalid data" (aka cheating), often turning up with a ban. I had it flag for me for the first time a few days after launch, and just yesterday (with a new character, playing it since the flag was revoked about 1.5 weeks ago) it triggered the flag again despite still never cheating. On inquiring on how it could've triggered a second time (and offered to even send them my back-ups), I just received a pre-made message I got word-for-word a month ago.

Considering these flaggings can eventually lead to your online interactions being restricted and how rare it is off of PCs, you might be better off on console. They're getting better with handling it (lots of banned players were getting unbanned yesterday), but the system is still broken and it ultimately leaves the customer helpless for weeks without any instruction or indication of what happened (or when. It only scans twice a week) until things get done. They don't tell you what could pop up as a false positive besides telling you to disable all mods and programs interacting with the game, create back-ups, and to never pick up items from people you don't know (which doesn't help since some cheaters will change your stats on contact).

Regarding performance, it does chug a little, but I can get it running well with my GTX 660 Ti on low/medium settings. I had a 5 hour session without even a texture flicker. Still looks good, all things considered. It's not well optimized, but likely one of the more stable of their PC ports. Hard for me to judge as I'm playing with a RAM stick on it's last legs and I THINK the 660 Ti is just below minimum requirements.

It runs fine on my machine (GTX 970), but poise was kinda broken last time I played. Don't know if it's fixed yet.
