So, Fable 3's economy is slightly less broken than the last game's economy...

I had a feeling that'd be how it's economy would work out. Did they do anything to fix the combat though? Or is it still just spam area attack for win.

But then again, The fable games always Promiss more then they can deliver.. I mean Do you guys remember The "Epic" choice that Peter said would really make you think in Fable 2?

It's a fun game to play but it's not really a challenge. A few hours of entertainment, nothing more.

Well it annoys me in game when you actually have to work hard to get money. For most games, money becomes redundant by the middle of the game, as there is very little left to buy.
Yeah man. This is the problem with most games these days. If they are going to include a mechanism for making money, or if you are going to get money for doing missions, there had better be enough stuff to buy to make it worth it. Otherwise, why bother building up your palace or buying up all the property and hiking up the rent?

Both Assassin's Creed II and Grand Theft Auto IV had the same problem. Once you've hit a certain point in either game, there is nothing to do but accumulate wealth to no end at all.

I quite liked the economic system in Fable 2. While it might be really easy to become insanely rich, I rather liked that. I also helped that, when I first played the game, I had never played a game which had allowed you to buy up nearly every single house and rent them out.

I'd probably be enjoying the game more if my 'Gnomes are Evil' and 'Hunting Lodge' quests hadn't randomly disappeared from my Quests List.

I'll just keep making pies until I figure out how to bring them back...

I am ABSOLUTE ADORING THIS GAME. Mixing magic is fun, and keeps things fresh, even non-mages get fun out of it. And charging up AoE spells no longer insta-kills everything. Mixing tactics works best. Shock them to stun, use the sword to knock them down and away, and then shoot them while they're on the ground! And I like playing n game where I don't have to wear armor, because it doesn't matter for damage resistance. Still, you can buy your first suit of armor in Bowerstone for about 15k, and even color it with dyes! It's still purely cosmetic, though. But I prefer just wearing clothes.
You just aren't using the right combos :x

You can see the last level of the spells pretty early, not sure if you can do it from the start but I know you can at level 2 magic, you just have to keep holding it for a long time.

lvl 4 or lvl 5 fire/shock will kill just about anything that isn't a "tough" enemy which there are a lot more off at least.

I have yet to run into anything that lives up to a fully charged blade-vortex.

Also you need to have a lot of gold if you want to be good. Just saying. I mean a lot.

Shockingly, yes. Weapons and clothes are about 15k at the moment. All weapons are now "legendary", with special properties. So, no Iron to Steel to UBER STEEL upgrade trees. Each weapon is unique and with a purpose. I have an anti-Hollow Men pistol I'm favoring in the current area, though. Each weapon has 3 "quests" you can complete to upgrade it with a new property. And these aren't too easy. Some require killing 250 enemies in the day, and befriending 5 people. And since becoming friends now requires quests, that's a quest in a quest. Weapons and their quests are generally themed, like the Casanova, a sword that affects your looks. And the Hero weapons (your 4 default), change as you use them and upgrade your abilities.
How much do the Hero weapons change, actually? i know they look more fancy whenever you upgrade them with guild seals, and I know they look different if, say, you kill loads of Balverines or are good/evil and stuff. But do they change shape and size if you attack differently with them? Like if you use a lot of flourishes, will that be different than a player who just uses more basic attacks?

Don't know if you'll be far enough in to notice it or not, but I'm getting my copy tomorrow and I'm looking for any info to help tide me over.
Also, from what I've seen it's worth earning money just to watch the ridiculously awesome money mountain grow.

Totally, for the good of the people.
If this is true I will jizz explosively and create the Communist Utopia afterward.
