The life long question. One day we'll figure it out.dathwampeer said:Women?
You've just made me cry that I hadn't played through all the origin stories. (I was human but mage)LewsTherin said:I teared up a bit whenyour family gets killed in the human origin in Dragon Age. Especially when you find Fergus's son dead, after refusing to teach him how to use a sword the day before.
Damn you, Bioware *sniff*
OT: If she's crying at Gears, you should let her play FFVII. End of disk one waterfalls, my boy.
This only makes me more and more curious to Shadow of the Colossus, even though I already sort-of know what's going to happen in that game (don't spoil anything though, I might be wrong). Dammit Sony, give that game an HD remake.grimsprice said:Awesome.
I got Shadow of the Colossus for christmas.
My ENTIRE family watched me play through the first 5 or 6 colossi without telling me to stop using the tv. It struck them heavily. From that day on they never criticized my video game playing.
Heh, nice try with the edit but I saw the foul murderer comment ^^silentsentinel said:Moths are God's children, you monster.Vanguard_Ex said:My girlfriend cried because I killed a moth. Yeah.Omikron009 said:That scene made her cry? You need to get yourself a less sensitive girlfriend. If my (theoretical) girlfriend cried over something like that I'd dump her for being a wuss.
I don't think I've ever managed to emotionally involve any family in my gaming but quite often I'll be playing a game on the Xbox, and when my mother comes in she's always like 'Wow, those graphics are amazing. It almost looks real'.
Anyway, I wish I could make my family care about video games. My dad will occasionally appreciate a game's graphics, but that's as far as he'll go.
You forget, she then played Gears of War 2, a lot.Omikron009 said:That scene made her cry? You need to get yourself a less sensitive girlfriend. If my (theoretical) girlfriend cried over something like that I'd dump her for being a wuss.

Women love drama. So what? I don't see how it could be implemented into other titles...ThePizzaGuy556 said:i Recommended the game to my Sister and she called me right after she made it to this scene..whats cool is that Gears of War is seen as a masculine game but still manages to have a strong effect on a whole of society. I like how games play with emotions for me it creates a lasting affect
ThePizzaGuy556 said:So today i was replaying Gears of War 2, my Girlfriend came downstairs just to insult the game and me lol i had just reached a very sad part of the game (not gonna spoil it you'll know what i mean if you played)and after watching it my Girlfriend Mary proceeded to cry...
I never cried because of a game. The only game that should have made me (FF7) failed because of wrongly proportions and years of playing Sonic the Hedgehog. I'll explain.Anah said:This.Omikron009 said:That scene made her cry? You need to get yourself a less sensitive girlfriend. What the hell? It's not even dramatic, especially if you haven't sat through the rest of the game first.
Now I'm a pretty emotional person, but no game I've played (except one) has ever rocked me to the point where I felt chocked up. And that wasn't Dragon Age or Mass Effect or any other game where you might expect immersion to do the trick. No. It was Metro 2033.
...
/wants to go home and play
Ah, I just edited it because I thought "monster" sounded cooler in the quote than the old fashioned "foul murderer."Vanguard_Ex said:Heh, nice try with the edit but I saw the foul murderer comment ^^silentsentinel said:Moths are God's children, you monster.Vanguard_Ex said:My girlfriend cried because I killed a moth. It was a tiny one which would've died accidentally scraping its wing on something anyway.
Okay I know SotC was meant to be very emotional, but it really did that?grimsprice said:Awesome.

My sister did, she cried several times during the course of the game, and said the dreams were some of the most emotional things she has ever read.Primee133 said:Now imagine if you got her to play Lost Odyssey.
