He was my favorite roaster. I'm really saddened by this.

It is indeed sad. He wasn't one of my particular favorite comics, but I always remember him as being solidly funny. And it's a tragedy in any case when someone dies young.

And on a really bizarre note (for me, anyway) there's the last photo [http://www.tmz.com/2010/09/29/comedian-greg-giraldo-dies-overdose-prescription-pills] taken of him alive. Those three other guys were a year ahead of me in high school, I shit you not.

I'm actually surprised that no one has said "Well, why not make a thread for everyone who dies" like someone always does.

Anyway, never saw the guy, but ever death is a tragedy, and enough people seem to like him that this is especially so. Rest in Peace, comedian person, you will be missed.

Well, everybody's gotta die eventually.

But yeah, he was very funny, but at least he went out before he jumped the shark.

Well that fucking sucks. He was a funny guy.
The next Roast's gonna suck.
Who knows, they have the next roast about Him, though that would be more depressing.

He was a funny guy (as some comedians tend to be, believe it or not). Some of his material in shows that weren't his specials (Premium blend type shows) had a long delivery, but for the most part, he was a pretty funny guy.

Well maybe then those fellas at the roast won't talk about his "stand-up career going nowhere" anymore, but then again, because it's a roast, maybe not.
