Umm calm down it's not like they're going to raid your house or anything.

Now, the guy who runs the other garage sometimes gets gypsies coming over to him asking him to "borrow" stuff. One time they asked him to borrow something (a mechanical wire thing to put on the car to pull other cars out of ditches or something I think) and he lent it too them.

Naturally, they came back another time asking them to borrow it. This time he said no - not wanting to get into a thing where he just lends it to them all the time, as he has it in the first place because he needs to use it - and the gypsy left. A few hours later, 2 younger guys came along saying he'd seriously upset their Dad. To sum it up, they then strongly implied that unless he gave them what they wanted they'd burn his garage down.

Ok, so let me get this straight. They're rednecks who move around alot? From the way you guys are acting they seem much worse. Most rednecks here at least tend to be harmless if you leave them alone. Also, so, he's mean to them after they returned it to him, not violating his trust? Sounds like he got what he deserved. No need to be a douchebag to people.

Does your stupidity know no bounds? How is it remotely being a douchebag if you tell someone NO with or without reason of use of your property (and he clearly said why, he has this thing for a purpose and its not to be lent out to every passerby) And even then if he did it in a douchebag way its no reason to burn his garage down, afterall HE DID LEND IT THE FIRST TIME. Basically its as if he saved your ass when you broke down on the side of the road and got your car running to get you home, then you come back a few days later when you aren't in a emergency and expect him to do it again for you...bullshit. All I can simply say is your a gypsie sympathizer, whom obviously has the mindset of one (aka willing to destroy someones property if they dont give you what you want even AFTER THEY HELPED YOU) and to basically never reproduce for the sake of the world. Best story I heard about gypsies.

An uncle of mine owns a security company and used to go to loads of trade-shows to do with it.

The issue of gypsies came up , and a friend of his explained how he always dealt with them.

He would always keep a Jerry can in the back of his car, filled with water.
Drive up to the camp, ask them to leave, after the inevitable abuse shouted at him, he would get the can from the car.

Douse the nearest caravan or building in what the gypsies thought was petrol/diesel , then stand above it holding a match, and just simply say, "Leave Now"

People these days equate Gypsies not to the Romanian race of gypsies, but to the scummy "travellers". It's not racism. It's quite hard to ignore gypos, or travellers if you will, because they are known for being noisy, disruptive, and criminal.

What you need to do is go on the internet, find some sort of communal...community that you can ask what to do.

It also plays on the British fear of confrontation, in the UK it is increasingly unlikely that the law will rule in your favour if you are involved in an altercation when 'defending your property' (something I understand is very clear-cut in the US)
