The driving segments can be a little annoying, but not bad enough to skip mass effect for. People tend to whine and exaggerate don't they? I say, give it a go and decide for yourself.lucky_sharm said:I'm thinking about giving Mass Effect a try and the only thing that worries me is all of those horror stories about how bad the driving is. Is it something that you do a lot of during the game?
100% agree. I'd take Mako planet exploring over that planet scanning crap any day.Cheshire the Cat said:Use a 360 controller and its fine. Its still a pain in the ass but is still like 50,000x better than #2 fucking planet scanning bullshit.
for the most part, they are boring but overall not THAT bad. they are definitely the worst part of the game but they dont ruin the game, by any means. the only time it really sucks is with the side missions (particularly the "collect x amount of y" side missions), mainly because those involve driving up a lot of mountains and the driving physics are kid of...odd. but as someone who doesnt usually like bioware games and doesnt need much reason to rip them apart, the driving did not prevent me from playing through the game twicelucky_sharm said:I'm thinking about giving Mass Effect a try and the only thing that worries me is all of those horror stories about how bad the driving is.
