Most people would consider t.A.T.u. bad or guilty pleasure music, but I listen to them proudly!

I confess: I like Alestorm
Anybody who doesn't is not human, in my personal opinion.

EDIT: Should point out that this is a joke, musical taste is completely and utterly subjective, there is no such thing as good or bad taste. But yeah, <3 Alestorm.

I do enjoy some Kanye from time to time. He's really one of the few pop/rap artists that I really like listening to.

I dont know what constitues "good" or "bad" music taste

I think for me to take somones opinion on music seriously they should like more than one genre...and not entirly dismiss genres or anything "new"

also music elitism..pisses me off
I try not to be elitist but there is a degree of technical prowess when it comes to music. The "goodness" of music is very subjective but there is a certain objectivity to how adept at music creation an artist is. For instance, I don't find DragonForce all that appealing but their guitarists/bassists are very technically accomplished. They know their way around the fret board. Then there is a group like Nickleback (chosen because everyone seems to hate them and using them won't likely detract from my point) who produce popular and sometimes catchy songs but aren't considered Gods of thier instruments. They use same-y riffs without much progression.

That's just my stance on the whole "good vs. bad music" think.

I have a rather schizophrenic taste in music. I like little bits of most stuff. For example, theres Dragon Force, Bullet for my Valentine and Biffy Clyro on the metal end of the spectrum, heading down trhough Blink 182 and MCR in the more standard rock, some pop rock with the likes of All Time Low. Then at the other end is some 80's Meat Loaf and Aerosmith. I even occasionally dabble in more orchestral stuff coming from games/tv or from drama productions i've been a techie for.
Biffy Clyro metal?!?! :3 hmph. You seem to have a pretty standard rock taste anyway.

Generally I can enjoy most stuff, so long as there is actual talent with a musical instrument. Something thats taken practice and effort, not 10 mins in front of a computer creating a repetitive beat for some fool to wail along too.
You can create deep and complex electronic music with no music intruments

OT: I don't know if I have a bad taste in music. I guess some people would take digs at the fact that I love Bring Me The Horizon but over the past year or so but music taste has expanded and I listen to a lot of more ambient stuff, stuff like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, more electronic stuff and even some hip hop. I can be a bit of a music elitist sometimes, unfortunately. It's less the music and more how some bands become huge with very little creativity or originality whilst other bands struggle, and how they then act really arrogant about it. And some of the fans, ughhhh. And then you've got the Black Veil Bridess and Avenged Sevenfolds who insult bands who are actually creative about their music.

Hard rock, Deathcore, metalcore, death metal, heavy metal, pretty much any variation of metal. I like some rap, and cannot stand country as for I would rather gouge my ears.

Well I could name the flaws of some bands I like and why a new person wouldn't like it.
Ratatat sounds weird at times [http://youtu.be/7FyfVIpczgo]. (remedy [http://youtu.be/cG8cWrMMhEs])
Daft Punk is repetitive [http://youtu.be/FGBhQbmPwH8].
Skrillex is dub step, which means it sounds like "Satan farting and burping at the same time." [http://youtu.be/2cXDgFwE13g]

(NO ONE CAN HATE ANAMANAGUCHI, EVEN IF IT SOUNDS HARSH AND BEEPY [http://youtu.be/N7bIMrNjMk8]! /weak kidding)

Lots of people hate Bring me the Horizon, mostly because of their craptastic first album. But I only like their newer stuff, which is pretty awesome stuff.

Going to be honest; my taste in music is pretty badass. I like all sorts, but primarily electronic-ey pop and rock.

Typical iPod shuffle: Rilo Kiley, Motown, Beck, Sufjan Stevens, Annie, Goldfrapp, Scott Walker and the Walker Brothers.

My most recent discovery has been Miike Snow.

I like all kinds of music good and bad. If you would base me off my collection I would be schizophrenic gay man who tries to act like a straight girl with a peter pan complex. Its just all over the fricken place.
