Broke. Just got new tires for my car and fixed the windshield. I was seriously considering going this year too.

While I'd love to see guys like Sterling and Yahtzee, more often than not the community makes me want to up and quit. The passion I had for the escapist just isn't there anymore.

I'm going to echo what most people in this thread are saying; it's too far away, I can't afford the trip, I don't like heat, I'm not sure if I could get anyone I know to go with me and other human beings frighten and confuse me. Okay, those last three were mine and the latter was a joke. [sub]Mostly.[/sub] Still, I understand the site is mostly comprised of American users (and I think The Escapist HQ is in NC? Might be wrong on that), so it makes sense to host it where they have and I hope those of you who are going have a good time. :3

There`s that really big pond in the way, and it really is rather expensive. A shame indeed, I´d love to visit the Expo...

I went to supernova instead so I can't justify buying a plane ticket to go overseas just to see the escapist crew.

Saving for a wedding. Which will be about 100 percent bigger than I want. Of mostly my fiance's family. And will feature us on our wedding cake as battling zombie hordes. Which I found out will just cost 200 dollars for the bride and groom figurines, not including the others. Our budget for the wedding is cringe worthy.

So. kinda reasonable excuse. SOMEONE GO IN MY PLACE.TO THE EXPO NOT MY WEDDING.

Kinda important for me to be there.

Captcha: Oh Brother. So what if I am drinking? And on the internets. Surely that isn't trouble.

I don't have the finances to travel across the country for a weekend. Much as I'd love to go, not having a job kind of ruins things like this for you.

It's in america, put simply. I can't possibly afford to go.

Besides, I have the terrible feeling people would throw rocks at me, I'm not the most popular guy on here. Probably not the most hated, but still...

Pros: I don't live across the pond.

Cons: I live in the third world.

But hey, maybe some good-willed souls from the forums will take pity on me and donate money for the noble cause of getting me into the expo.

No real interest in it. The first couple tend to be the worse. In a few years time, when I get more time and interest, I might go to it.

I'm not going cause I can't afford it and I don't fancy my chances at swimming across the Atlantic in the autumn.

Anyhow, there was a postulation a while back that if it's successful, they may do a European one.

I won't have the money of course. I never been to expos or cons of any kind.

If I can scrape together forty dollars plus some extra spending money by August, I'll be going to Gen Con with some of my friends, since it will be in my state and only about a 2 hour drive away.

On a different note, yay, 10th post. That's a mile post of sorts I guess...
This calls for a celebration!
Get down with your bad self, yo.

*Ahem*

I would love to go, I'm even one or two states away! But, parents and school come first. Funding also seems to be an issue...

Maybe another year... *Time to feel sorry for myself*
