I would love to go, as I would love to almost any convention (as I've never been to a convention). However, living in Norway, the awesome land of the vikings, has the negative side effect of being far away from almost every convention. So joining the escapist expo, would be too expensive for me.

Sadly, I do not have the cash to go to a convention in the United States. I live in Canada. I would not only need to pay for admission, but also for transportation AND a hotel.

While I'd love to see guys like Sterling and Yahtzee, more often than not the community makes me want to up and quit. The passion I had for the escapist just isn't there anymore.

As much as I'd hate to agree with you, because I still harbour quite a lot of admiration for Messrs Young, Croshaw and Sterling, yeah.

I don't know, I mean I could go on car, I've made way longer trips on car but I don't know, I guess I just don't feel like it, I mean I don't really see the point of meeting the escapist personalities and saying hi, and knowing myself that's all I would say because that's everything I ever say when I meet someone, but on the other hand it would be cool to see Gavin perform live, I'm not sure if I'm willing to go all the way over there just for that.

We already have one, it's called Escapism UK. Here's our User Group [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Escapism-UK]

We meet every July, and vote on different places each year. This year is Manchester. Activities and accommodation are already booked for this year, but you're welcome to come along for the day if you're nearby. ^^
