My post-Christmas hangover scared me away from drinking/parties for a while, so I'll probably have a quiet New Year for a change. Maybe I'll see a movie or play some Red Dead Redemption.

Totally nothing. Watching/listening to music.
Some channel is broadcasting "bits" of concerts (mostly dutch groups and dutch music). Surprisingly i am enjoying it(not even drank any alcohol(mostly not to fond of dutch music)).

Listening to that, just wasting time behind my laptop, seeing a flash of fireworks now and then from the window next to me.

Weirdly feels like one of the better new years in ages :)

Same. I hate when boyfriends agree to this sort of thing... I've been alone since mid December.

I called my girlfriend and we wished each other a Happy New Year. The plan (which I'm doing right now) is to chat with friends on AIM and listen to the Picaresque album by the Decemberists again.

The same way I've brought in the new year for the last several years - playing video games with friends. Many chips and sodas will be consumed before the night is over.

So everyone, It's passed for most, if not all of us.

Did everything go to plan?

For me it did, I was pretty blootered.

Found that everyone I knew had plans that didn't involve me. So I bought some fancy Gin and a quality Tonic and got drunk. Like a well adjusted adult I suppose.

Threw a party for a bunch of friends at my place. Was good fun. Lots of beers, lots of fine cheeses and other good food.

I went to visit my family wish them a happy new year, make a sushi roll plater for their party, then went to a party, had a few drinks with a few friends, the highlight was playing the impossible game with some impossibley drunk people.

Then got home about 2 or so hours ago to find my girlfriend (whom left the party early becasue she was didn't like the hostess) passed out with nothing but socks on and a mess all around her...

Yay cleaning -.-*

I spent the night with a hotel full of retired Scottish half-relatives/friends who I haven't seen since I was too young to remember them.

Now my head hurts...

Watched parents come home. They were already drunk.
Listened to drunk parents fight. (They brought a guest over who was forced to stand at stare at them).
Took sister to actual father's house.
Stayed in room for rest of the night feeling terrible.

Parents had friends over. Spent all of the 30th and 31st cleaning the house, cooking and so forth for this.

Stayed out of their way for the 31st/1st. Couldn't sleep due to my room being next to several loud/drunk people. Had a lot of clearing up and so forth to do on the 1st, plus unusually cranky parents (probably dealing with headaches).

So... same as every year, basically.

Well, on New Year's Eve, I went out to the Side Splitter's comedy club and saw the "Laugh the New Year's in!" show. Funny shit.

After that, me, my sister, and a few friends went home and got blind drunk.

My sis passed out around 1:30, so we took a marker and drew all over her, and smeared cupcakes on her face.

I also discovered something new about myself. Apparently, if I get REALLY drunk on vodka and jello shooters, I start speaking with a scottish accent.

...I have no idea why that happens. I'm not scottish. At all.

I'm currently recovering from the hangover.
