Yeah I am done playing swtor. It has nothing to do with the game itself actually, I like the combat, and the story, and my operative is a badass, But they work with ea.
It started with mass effect 3. While I hated the ending, the game as a hole I enjoyed, so while I was annoyed I let it pass.
But then the battlefield servers problem came up and I was floored. This was a basic thing, the ability to play a fucking game as is online. Now I can't even get that shit.
I feel a little bad because I know that not everyone there are evil assholes, but I can't abide giving any of my money to ea. So I am done playing any of there games, and if I do bet your ass it will be used.
Sound off if anyone is with me.

Hell. Yes. Haven't bought EA since Dragon Age 2, don't intend to buy from them ever again.

well me3 had nothing to do with the ending so that one doesn't matter
bf3 i don't play mp unless it an mmo so i think I'll keep playing swtor

isn't it nice when people blame some stuff on companies that have nothing to do with it the server stuff yes but some of this other stuff is the devs fault

Last EA game I bought new was Crysis 2 (and I got rid of it because it had a bug they never even bothered to patch) which was over a year ago. I don't plan on changing that anytime soon.

If only everyone else shared your common sense. Ea would be forced to change it's business policy from ground up.

I do the same thing. Not so much boycotting EA but them being involved is a major flaw in the game. So far I haven't found a game that has been good enough for me to get over EA being involved, they screw over their customers so not buying EA is always good.

After the ME3 day one dlc I'm swearing it off as the last game I'll ever buy from them. Thankfully the ending killed all interest in the company, the motivation to play their games are not there if they intend to end their franchises on such a low note.

Good for you, I guess. I'm still enjoying my operative, so I'll keep playing him. :)

I left SW:TOR about 2 months after release.

Nothing to do with EA and BioWare though the game just bored the ever living feth out of me.

Oh look another EA hate thread...
Seriously your justification for quitting something you like is because of what EA has done with other games, but you didn't quit exactly when those things happened.
What's the discussion value here?

As long as its a good game that I am interested in, I'm going to get it. EA has just as many asshole principles as any other company beyond that they have made some really good games in the past and probably will in the future.

Same here. Then again there hasn't been a release I've been interested in (Mass Effect 3 being the exception) and all the news they bring out isn't helping ie Origin, DLC, staff jumping ship, WTF were they smoking endings etc.

Of course there is a chance that they'll improve and... who am I kidding? EA will never learn!

While I'm completely indifferent towards EA, I do commend you for saying this.

I pray no harm befalls you. I suggest putting salt along every doorway and window.

OT: I tried SWTOR. Didn't click with me.

But hey! Guild Wars 2 coming out . . . eventually.

I stopped playing and buying EA, Activision and Ubisoft Games.

Rather hard to find "good" triple A games in that way,
but gaming is a hobby and no necessity.

I can't stand the behaviour of those companies "against" us as customers.
They slap me for giving them money, thats nothing I will support anymore.

In the beginning it was hard because of Bioware,
but since Bioware got gangraped by EA so hard that you can hardly read
the letters "Bioware" anymore there is no remorse ^^

Hey I have more then 100 games in my Steam library,
I don't need those three big companies.

They can kiss my sweet ass,
at least they could "in a manner" that doesn't sound like
lieing say "we are truely sorry for the mischiefs we have done,
we will change our ways of robbing our customers and will
try to give it our best for you"

But that won't happen.

Knowing the hate that gets thrown at EA, I'm going to need more than salt to protect myself :p

I don't personally like MMOs, but not playing one that you like because it is published by EA is just silly.
