So I Find Myself Discussing Virginity Again

In a discussion regarding a situation in a novel I recently finished, my Creative Writing seminar group told me they thought that 14 and a half was too young for a girl to believably want to lose her virginity.

Everyone in my seminar group is an upper-middle class prude making their way through university on daddy's money though, so I take their opinions lightly.

What age do you think teenagers honestly start thinking about having sex, and if they had the opportunity, what age would they start having sex (this is mainly hypothetical, I don't need a long list of the ages of consent etc, and please try and keep it clean.)

Any age can wish for sexual activity I guess, back where I sued to live there were supposed to be two kids (At the time) who did it.

From what I`ve seen, people look like they want to have sex from the age of thirteen.

teenage guys start thinking about it at like 12 or 13, at least thats the earliest I remember thinking about it and masterbating, I would imagine it really depends on the female since women go tho puberty based on body weight. I imagin it would be much more likely that a 14 year old girl wanted a baby more then to lose her virginity but Im probably not the best person to ask since I have a penis

Around 16 I would say they start getting serious thoughts about it. 16-19 I would consider to be the prime age that teens start wanting to have sex, which is completely normal, in my opinion. The thoughts, that is. I think sex itself should wait until your about 18, so your mature and are aware of what your getting in to. But Im starting t osound like a Health teacher in high school, aren't I? Well, theres my opinion, for what it's worth.

I have always believed there is a strong sense that it isn't wanting to lose your virginity young, it's having. The tribe mentality thing that scares girls (lets face it only girls think twice about sex) into doing it. Not conforming to the hive retard means being ostracised.

14 is the usual age arround here, and i find it to be ok, since by then the participants are well aware of pregnancy, std's and how to avoid them..

It should really be evaluated on a case by case basis. Some 14 year olds are ready for sex, while some 25 year olds are not.
