Depends on how much you spent on it; I'm still a bit disappointed in my ps3 as I don't think it gets very good support...from Sony or the 3rd parities. So be careful of some of those 3rd party games: a lot of times the footage you see from tv or trailers was from the 360 or pc version.42 said:
But even though it's buggy, Fallout 3 is one of my favorites of all time. But if you have a decent pc, get it for that instead... if only for the mods. But avoid New Vegas on the ps3: it just doesn't work very well.
Warhawk was a launch game that I still pop in now and again: a multiplayer only TPS with a fun ground battle setup that integrates really well with arial combat.
Valkyria Chronicles is a really interesting mix. It's basically a strategy rpg but when you take control of the characters it becomes a bit of a TPS. It also has a great style but a bit too heavy on cutscenes.
Also: try the demos for things on psn. Try out the pixel junk games and things like that. Try the Just Cause 2 demo while you're there. If you like that, you may also like Saints Row 2 (no demo but it should be cheap now).
I heartily recommend the Killzone series. Its as if someone took a Call of Duty game, kept the giant action sequences, and made the enemy AI not retarded.

Metal Gear Solid 4 multiplayer is also crazy amounts of good but if you're into trophies and shit this game has none
Ratchet and Clank I think there's 2 games and one DLC for the PS3 I have yet to play the second, nut the first and the DLC are REALLY good
all other games are pretty much on the sexbox as well (Assassins Creed, Batman, CoD, BF3, etc.) but for whatever reason I always seem to enjoy them more on the PS3... probably because of the controller which is for me more comfortable

Good thread, I'm buying a PS3 on Thursday, so these suggestions are nice. I'm borrowing Demon's Souls and Uncharted 1-3 for starters, then on to the ICO/Shadow re-release, and from there I'll probably pick up some of the games in this thread.
