My high school had the best band in the state... our football team was good...

There was a retirement community just past the school so people kept getting hit by old ladies who couldn't drive.

The senior pranks usually did a minimum of $10000 in damage.

Nothing special.

my old school had regular fights, one kid got stabbed in the cheek with a compass, a teacher was knocked out with a cricket bat while trying to break up a fight, a LOT of people were bullied/beat up repeatedly...

As most of you probably never heard about, my school KPHS has been the topic of national news.
If you are in America and watch ABC news regularly, you'll know that my school has an alleged "fight club" following behind the school. Everybody knew about it and a lot of people (myself included) enjoyed spectating.
There's no link, but you can find it on the ABC news database.
So, has this (or anything similar) happened to others on the Escapist?

I went to a school in which we were allowed to smoke, fighting was everything, I often got drunk in class, and in 9th grade I had to beat up 12 graders just to get along. (How? I'm just awesome. Also, long years of streetfighting and karate). In 10th grade I would fight with 10 older kids against me at once. Good times.

Also, one big event was kids heating up a metal ruler til melting point, then giving a kid third degree burns with it.

But my school actually improved, and academically it was pretty strong. I don't know, a fight club sounds pretty tame.

My school set a record either in the county or state, not sure which, for most bomb threats in one year. Someone figured out bomb threat + X period = no math test and subsequently delayed their test about a week.

One of them was during AP exam week and happened right in the middle of one of the AP's.

The AP class was not pleased.

My school had a fight club operation. it was fun participating. but the cops caught on ofcourse.

We tried one, and it was meh. People didn't have the balls to actually fight...
There was a teen pregnancy this year though, and some serious Science experiments.

My current school isn't very hardcore at all, but my old one was. Some guy dropped 4 tabs of acid in History, and promptly ran out of the school and got hit by a bus.

Nope. However, the only black guy in the school was expelled for shooting someone. Admittedly it was with a blank round, but still... I don't expect to see him complaining about stereotypes any time soon.

My school had a fight club too, more recently students had been posting the fights online but they were removed.

The strangest thing to happen at my school though, was when a student mentioned he had a foot fetish and his words got twisted around so many times that the schoolboard suspended him on the grounds that he threatened to commit "Racial Genocide"... I'm still unsure how that happened.

One kid was found "pleasing himself" in his history class. Nobody was surprised, he was a bit of a freak.

There was a gas leak at our school once, and everyone who'd arrived by the time it was discvered had to be put in quarrantine until they could be examined by a doctor. Thankfully, most of my friends and I hadn't arrived yet, so we had the day off - and it turned out, the rest of the week off.

Oh, and one tech teacher (I think that'd be woodwork to any Americans) threw a chisel at this one girl. I was in the class, it was terrible. It hit her in the nose, she was bleeding everywhere. She still has a scar from it. He was fired in front of our class about five minutes later. For revenge, her brother duct taped his car shut. Thats right - tape all around the doors, so that nobody could get in. It was quite an expensive car too.

The best thing to happen at my former school was near lunch, when a white pregnant girl and a non-pregnant black girl got into a not so verbal fight. Lets just say the black girl got curb stomped.

The worst thing to happen (a year or two before I became a freshman) was that this girl hung herself in her closet due to parental abuse. She told all of her friends about how she was feeling about what was going on, and even told the school officials of what was happening; and no one listened to her. After that, was when (in ours, and surrounding cities at least) was knowledge of how important warning signs leading to teen-suicide became important.

Holy crap, you people have fight clubs at your schools, and I've got nothing =/

Nothing serious in our school. Usually no fights, no fight clubs, no serious accidents that I'd know about... Pure blandless, basically a high school with good reputation and full of rich kids.

Although we did have somewhat big drug bust with multiple police officers like 2 years ago. And that didn't really change anything, all the "alternative" crowd is still hanging out across the road from our school doing drugs.
