Yeah I do. I collect mostly movie stuff but I love the Bioshock toys that have been coming out and yes I do open them up (If their not really old), mess around with them and put em next to my comp or on my shelf. I still get crap for it but, nothing beats scaring your cats with your Toys R Us exclusive Elite Big Daddy.
I am not ashamed to admit that I have a huge collection of action figures. However, many of them have sentimental value for me and I don't play with them very often.

Hell, I wouldn't mind one or two of those to place on my shelf of random as hell things. It would fit in great beside my Terminator 2 bobblehead and my mech with mini-gun head. WOuld clash with my mini Terra Cotta Warriors though.

I'm a table top wargamer, so... I guess the answer is yes. I have a bag right next to me with about 120 toy soldiers in it, and once a week I go to my local shop, bust them out, and win. Except when I lose.
I have a couple. I have the Gamestop pre-order Conan The Barbarian, King Leonidas and the Immortal from 300, Vash the Stampede from Trigun, Sephiroth, Cloud, Vincent Valentine, six different Naruto ones, Batman, Killer Croc, Penguin, Joker in a straight jacket, Light, L, Misa (both normal and confinement versions), Rem, Gelus, and Ryuk from Death Note,and a Wolverine bobble head. I think I'm leaving out something but I can't think of it right now.
