You have the right to enjoy whatever the hell you feel like enjoying. If you like action figures then go for it, and screw anyone who tells you otherwise.

And no, I don't have any interest in them myself. Nor do I enjoy mocking other people's interests.
good to see there is someone decent in here.

i dont collect them or anything anymore but as a kid i was addicted to collecting everything and anything power rangers related, i had so much it was ridiculous, sad thing is my parents off and sold them =[

but i do play action figures with my baby brother occasionally when he asks me to, otherwise i dont care to play with them anymore.

however when it comes to legos, thats a whole different story...ill play with those till the day i die.

I still buy action figures. I bought one of Buck from Halo ODST because it's basically an action figure of Nathan Fillion. I wanted something Firefly-related for my desk.

It's your money so do what ever you want with it.
I think it's best to wait a while to see if you change your mind, if you don't, buy another one if you want it that badly.
I personally have one figurine of an Iron maiden (Resident evil 4) that I store on my shelf. :p

I'm a big fan of action figure scenes played out across a room. Like the local book store has hundreds of custom made action figures doing battle. AvP, Dr. Who, Samurais, movie character. One day I may pics it so you don't call bs.

No way. Toys can still be a ton of fun. Every time I glance down the Transformers isle I have such a big urge to buy one. If they weren't so expensive I would have the biggest most used collection ever.

I'm looking at this guy right now. He's a transforming Transformer and a mp3 player!

I've got a few myself... I figure your good, just as long as you don't get any of those creepy anime figures that have removable clothes... never could figure that out, I mean, do people actually..? No, you know what, I don't want to know.

I am 17 and have a lot of action figures. Mostly due to me never getting rid of my older stuff. I have a box full of Star Wars stuff that just collects dust and a small container full of old GI Joes from my brother and a smaller container of newer ones that I bought over the last few years. But I don't really buy them any more. Only if I think one looks really cool.

List of items on the shelf just to the right of my computer right now:

Ezio statuette from white edition of Assassin's Creed 2
12" Rikku statuette from Final Fantasy X
6" Yuna (gunslinger) figurine from FFX-2
12" Eric Draven "The Crow" figure
Fallout 3 collector's edition Pip-boy bobblehead
Bioshock collector's edition Big Daddy
Scattered around their feet are the entire set of gashopon figures from the Groove Adventure Rave anime, including rares and alternate colourings. I bought an entire display box of the packets at a convention about 6 years ago in my attempt to get them all. I haven't even seen the anime.

You bet your ass if I could afford and locate some Halo figurines they'd go on the shelf. It's going to be tough to make room for the Halo Reach legendary edition statue though.

I am twenty-seven years old.

I collect figures from pop culture all the time, movies or games. I don't play with them but they all find a designated spot on my shelf.
Given that I love stuff from sci fi action games and dark horror movies and all points in between, my room would be the most dark and twisted reboot of the Toy Story franchise ever seen.

I think playing with toys can be a bit childish, but Sptop Motion animation is extremely amusing if you can figure it out, and I don't see any problem having THIS staring you RIGHT IN THE FACE across from your desk:

I've also got:
Isaac Clarke
Dexter
Marcus Fenix
Master Chief
Custom Doom Marine
(I intend to make Pinky someday)
