I'd pick up a copy of Capcom vs SNK 2, because its one of my favourite fighters.
Tekken 5 is the best Tekken on the system.
Silent Hill 2, one of the best survival horrors out there.
Killer7 just because its awesome.
The Onimusha series. All three are brilliant.
Canis Canem Edit (Or Bully depending on where you're from)
Yakuza 1 and 2
Plus a whole host of others already mentioned.

Awwwww I'm disappointed, I was hoping you were from Brazil. Anyway the Sly Cooper games were always fun.
Take Resident Evil 4 and move it to the top of your list as soon as possible. Seriously.

I've been considering getting a ps2, myself. Mostly it's to satiate my desire to play a gladiatorial(may have just made up a word there)game. So obviously Colloseum caught my eye, as did Shadow of Rome.soulasylum85 said:

Persona 3 and 4. Easily the best games for the PS2 IMO. But since its made by Atlas... its fucking [i/]hard[/i].

The awesomeness that is Katamari Damacy and it sequel We Love Katamari. Such a simple game where you roll up random crap and make planets.
Well shadow of the Colossus is already on your list I see. That's good. Ummmm... Silent Hill 2 and 3 are good also Katamari Demacy is fucking amazing. I don't know a lot of my favorite PS2 games are JRPGs. Also I wouldn't really call Kingdom Hearts a JRPG.... I also enjoyed Harvest Moon Save the Homeland. Maybe a couple of the old Tony Hawk games (they used to be fun). Ummm... possibly Rule of Rose although it wasn't nearly as good as Silent Hill.
