Ace Combat 04 Shattered Skies
I LOVE THAT GAME! IIt's the best one of its kind, I still have the memory on my old memory even though I havn't been able to play it for years now.

I really want to give you a hug right now, actually thats a bit gay. How about this?

I thought it was going to be yet another internet high five, but I've been honored with a brofist.
Yeah, getting that game was a turnaround in my PS2 gaming childhood. Since then I was attached to racing games, but having seen that other genres can kick equal to more ass I decided to expand my horizon to the many games I play today...
I even got Ace Combat 6 for the 360, and it feels a lot 04 in high def...
Great game(s).

Get Devil May Cry 3.
It is a prequel to the first one, so you don't need to worry about story sequence, and it, in my opinion, is the best in the series.

I'd also recommend the entire Jak and Daxter series, as well as the entire Ratchet and Clank series.
Also, Star Wars Battlefront 1 or 2.
Both are great.
I agree, except with what you said about story sequence. In my opinion, games, movies, and stories in general should be experienced in the order of their release. The only exception being Sergio Leone's Man With No Name trilogy (for anyone who hasn't seen them, do so in the following order: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, then A Fistful of Dolars, then For A Few Dollars More).
Maybe, but it doesn't really matter because Devil May Cry 2 carries nothing into Devil May Cry 3.
In fact, I found it better to play 3 first, because it makes everything you see later so much more interesting.

The Sly Cooper games and Jak & Daxter games.

They each have three installments and they each do an incredible job of showcasing how the PS2 moved gaming along from super mario 64-esque collection missions in both series' first installments to Jak 3's multi-city sandbox quest and Sly 3's spy-planning sim.

But if that's too academic for you then know that they are from the developers of inFamous (2009's action game of the year) and Uncharted 2 (the game that somehow beat out Assassin's Creed 2 for Game of the Year) respectively. So they are pedigreed, educational, a phenomenal introduction to what shapes console gaming, and just damn fun.

Plus you can get all six games for like fifty bucks if you buy used. I'd sell them myself if I was not currently replaying them.

Most certainly these. Also the rest of the Ratchet and Clank series on PS2, Timesplitters 1&2, and the Burnout games were good fun.

TimeSplitters: Future Perfect and Burnout 3: Takedown are one of my favorite PS2 games. You should definitely look into those.

Great game(s).
Feels a lot like 4 you say? I'll pick it up.
If you're unsure, download the demo.
It features the first mission.
From there I instantly knew that I had to have that game.
I need to go play it now.

you know OP I envy you, I had one and sold it (with all the games) to repair my car some time ago. I regret that, as soon as I can I am going to buy one again.

If you're into horror games, I seriously recommend the Project Zero/Fatal Frame series. The third installment is particularly good. Also, Silent Hill 1, 2 and 3.
