So I just found out Anonymous is actually pretty evil...

Meh, the majority of anon are just boring trolls, that story doesn't surprise me. I just ignore them and appreciate the ones who are actually funny, not this unoriginal death threat bullshit. Making an 11 year old girl cry isn't funny, but like I said, boring trolls. Go on any chatroom, if any girl goes on cam she'll immediately be bombarded with "strip", "show tits" etc, their age doesn't even matter and the people that say that shit are from /b/.

My advice is ignore it, I'm sure they'll fuck themselves over someday for being so retarded.

i read something on "Cracked" about how Anonymous actually issued death threats to an 11 year-old girl just because she called people on 4chan losers for requesting she strip.

after reading this, i honestly will not support ANYTHING Anonymous does and i hope they all get arrested, tried, and convicted of child abuse and attempted murder.

if it were up to me, i would string them up by their ankles and cut off their hands so they could be left to bleed out. and i mean ALL of them. Anonymous is not a silent defender, they are a obviously a group of bullies who occasionally throw temper tantrums when something dare threatens their freedom to post child pornography...

it's the sixth one down.

You see, what the article neglects to mention is that when you release a video telling a group of people to "Pop a glock in your mouth and make a brain slushie", they tend to respond negatively. For a much better description of the events, check

Secondly, you're just as bad. Threats of violence? Seriously? I'm not even going to merit that one with a response.

Did you actually see the girls videos? She deserved a wake up call, some people acted harshly but she's not exactly some innocent victim... She needed to learn she wasn't invincible.

Also, Anon has done some really good stuff and some bad stuff. What you fail to realize is that they aren't some organized group of people and any of them can do whatever they want as "Anonymous".

You were better off never learning about 4chan/Anonymous. I kind of wish I never bothered.

They've done some pretty fucked up things, but I mean... hey man, that girl threatened everyone else, too - I'd rather not turn my head into a brain slushie, Miss Slaughter. Say stuff like that to a group of people who don't know what remorse is, and they're probably going to make your life miserable.

A normal 11 year old girl doesn't have a fully-visible frilly pink bra (in front of a web cam).
I've got this slight feeling that she was a slut-in-the-making who got trolled by 4Chan and decided to call them all dicks, going about as well as you imagined such an action would.

Yea, its hard to blame "Anonymous" specifically, because its not really a thing. Trying to describe them as a group is pretty futile. For example, I know plenty of reasonable people who became Anonymous for the Scientology protests then never had anything to do with it again.

This is normal for /b/, actually. I'm unsurprised by this.
I second this notion.....

BTW, who remembers Dusty? Anon showed their good side then right?
It was just an excuse to go vigilante, the fact that there might have been a useful outcome is a random result.
It was still kinda nice though.
I support Anon on other things as well (Im not gonna say what)

/b/ is chaotic neutral, this is what you get.

But also, not all anon's are the same, despite the fact that they like to be regarded as a metaphorical legion. One of my friends is a b tard, but he would never do what the anon's in question did.

Anonymous isn't one group that acts together. Some do stuff on their own. If you look up Anonymous and do some research you'll notice they've done some good and bad. Mostly bad though.

See, while it was 'Anonymous' that sent the threats, it does not mean that it was all of 'Anonymous'. They're not a structured group, they're just a collective that gets together when something sparks their interest, or ire.

They're not all bad, just look at how they've torn a new one in Scientology's side over the years.
You could say the same thing about their recent DOS attacks. Its not the majority of Anon that is doing the attacks, but they're all willing to take credit when the time comes. While the majority did not send death threats, they did harass her endlessly. I'd say that alone is pretty evil.

Nah, who remembers HL2? When the game got hacked and stolen, so /b/ hunts them down and sends the info on to Valve and the police. Win all round. Then Dusty, scientology. /b/ is ok.

But, on the other side. If an 11 year old girl is openly saying she is on 4chan.. Well, we're not that mature.

I mean hell, it's scientific principles postulated by Darwin himself. We like fking people over. If we thought we could get away with it, we'd be killing, raping and pillaging all day long. Survival of the fittest, might makes right. /b/ is simply a site that takes pride in tracking people down and harassing them. 11yr old girls should not be posting pics on a forum like that. End of story.

Off topic, social manipulation isn't hard. How easy you all reckon it would be to get /b/ to hunt down actual bad people? My bet is that they'd do a better job of it than the police. Vigilantism, the anti-criminal organisation keeping you safe.

Anon isn't evil, nor is it good. Anon right now isn't the same as Anon 10 minutes ago. Do not blame everyone who calls themselves anonymous becuse of what a few did.
This is the truth.

You realise that any one person can act for Anon without involving, consulting with, or even telling the others, right?
This is also truth.

It's news to you that Anon are punk ass bullies who tend to pick on the weak?

Welcome to the internet.

It took you this long to realise? Honestly, the 4channers should be dipped into vats of strong acid and left to rot, as far as I've seen.
This is ignorance.

You're never really anonymous on the internet no matter how many proxy's or 733t hAxor skills one deploys.

Also this doesn't surprise me in the slightest, there is a reason /b/ is cancer.
