[HEADING=1]BE A MAN!!!!![/HEADING]
I'm a pianist. Manliness is an alien concept to me
Freddie Mercury was also a pianist. Look at him.

Ok, maybe a bad example. But still, pianists can be manly men! Pianist even sounds somewhat similar to the man organ. So suck it up and be a man!

Or try some calamine lotion. Though I'm not sure if that works on wasp stings. Try doing something to take your mind off the pain, like watching a movie or playing video games.

If you're not allergic to bee and wasp stings, then antiseptic cream on the sting will be fine. That's all you need to do. If, like my mother, you are allergic, then you need to go to the hospital ASAP.

That's it, really.

You know, the only time I've been stung by something was when I tried to pick up a bee by the wings when I was younger. I deserved it too.

I think Demented Teddy might be on to something, as I've found staying calm and you know, not agitating the Wasp tend to work quite well. I usually catch them though and toss them outside, damn irritating what with the buzzing.

Don't kill it though. And for the sting, well. Grin and bear it I guess?

Yeah, just put something cold on it and let it wear off.

Incidentally, wasps are the incarnation of evil and deserve to all die a horrible, painful, and slow death while writhing in unbearable agony.

I got stung by a wasp about 4 days ago, I just sat down on a chair and it just appeared, stung me more or less in the middle of my bicep and flew off. I put on After Bite and within an hour or something the sting wasn't even noticeable, I just have a little dot on my arm now. Putting ice on it sounds like overkill, is After Bite really good or did you get stung by the mother of all wasps or something?

Don't think I haven't tried...the pointy bastard ran off before I could exact my revenge
ohh, talk about adding insul to injury. Not only does the little bastard sting you, but he refused to stick around and be killed.

A word of advice though, do try to resist the urge of using overtly overkill methods to slay the six-legged freak intruders in your house... You see, I can't help it myself, and sometimes I actually bring out my blowtorch to burn the little bastards to death (with a maniac grin on my face of course). The thing is, people tend to act a little wierd around you if they ever witness you doing it. : /

I guess when it comes to myself "kill it with fire" isn't really a humorous, non-serious adage, i actually kill things with fire, given the chance.

The only reason it's really painful is because it's on the webbing between 2 fingers - wasn't even a big wasp, just in a bad place.

I had a queen wasp hibernate in my (very big) bedroom in a house I rented some years back, came back from work one night to hear alot of buzzing around one open window. Was really beat so I just went to bed, figuring they'd be gone when I woke up.

They weren't.. But, they didn't react to me wandering around doing my thing and kept to their small corner which was on the opposite end of the room so I went for the whole 'live and let live' thing.

We co-existed extremely peacefully until winter (though my girlfriend wasn't overly fond of them ^_^ ). They died when the snow started and I moved out before spring so I never did find out if another queen was hibernating somewhere. I like to think so, grew abit fond of the charming little rascals. :)

Ah, I wasn't questioning your manliness or anything, just curious. :p I apparently got stung in the eye when I was young, although (thankfully) I do not remember it.. sounds quite fucked up though, hah.

Well, some people use bee stings to treat cancer.

So I'm pretty sure you're are immune now.

Then how about practicing with a small ice pack on your hand? It will exercise it, which will help the venom runs its course, and moving the joint around with ice on it may dull/ease the pain.

Take some benadryl, try not to move the stung hand, and get some sleep as soon as you can. When you wake up, you should be fine.

Haha, everyone but me remembers it. I was running to my Dad and BOOM, headshot. I guess it was lucky, I've been lucky a fair few times with injuries related to my head it seems. :D
