There's a Scott Pilgrim game over XBL, too, thats pretty win. Its similar to Castle Crashers, and you play it locally with friends. I recommend it :)

But yeah, sweet movie. I normally don't like the work that stars Cena, but I thought he worked well in Pilgrim.
Oh man!!! I want the game so bad!! But sadly, I don't have an XBox... D=

I have the soundtrack for the game though. *is a loser* XD

Congratulations, do you want a medal?

If you want peoples opinions then there are already other threads like this, go hunt for them

Some kinda funny references but some piss poor acting by Michael Ceara (or however you spell his name) I couldn't get over how annoying he was. Plus the bass battles sucks, they should have been guitar battles because as much as it pains all bass players (including myself) it is not the main instrument. It's to add depth unless you play on the highest string

It was alright but I won't pay to see it again

I'm sorry, but I fucking despise Scott Pilgrim. It's, in no way at all, funny. It just makes me angry. I'll probably be called out for this, but I didn't even bother with the movie because I can't stand for Michael Cera. Ever since I saw Year One I can't stand to see his face.
Did you see Scott Pilgrim? I'm just curious because I too generally hate Micheal Cera. Scott Pilgrim was the first movie I could tolerate him in (mainly because he actually moved fast >_>).

It's a good film, I can imagine fun to watch with other people (you don't really get that in a cinema).

All the Sex Bob-omb tracks remind me of a less inventive Fu Manchu though.

EDIT:

I disagree, lots and lots. Sure, that's sort of true but there's no real reason why that has to be the case. Plenty of (non funk) bassists (Geezer Butler, Nick Oliveri) are capable of making the bass take centre stage well enough.

In brief, I would describe it as "what Hot Fuzz would be like if it was based around comics and video games instead of cop shows and car chases". Good movie, in my opinion, although if you disliked Hot Fuzz you'll probably not be a great fan.

I liked it. I was never bored at any point watching it which is a HUGE achievement for films for me. Also, gives food for thought regarding teenage relationships. It is a very smart "Rom Com". It is a 'Rom Com', but a very *good* one. I can't wait till the American DvD release so I can... watch... it... cough.

*edit* In response to the critism of bad acting by the female characters:

Kim comes across was a pesimistic depressed lady.

Ramona says "she doesn't know who she is anymore" which kind of explains why she seems like a 2D character. We never know much about her. That's the appeal about Remona to Scott, the curiosity.

Scott's sister was a good actor I thought. Patronising like a sister.

I smell some trololololling.

If you aren't trolling, what the hell are you talking about? One, your opinion on bass is stupid and wrong. Two, it was a thirty second Guitar Hero joke/parody/thing. I think someone forgot to take their meds this morning.

OT: I absolutely loved the film and the comics. The ONE criticism I have of the movie is that they don't show Scott and Ramona to have any kind of chemistry. In the books there's a lot of them just doing people things and shows the kind of mutual bond between them, preferable to obsessed Knives and a not-really-bothered Scott. And in the movie the Scott-Ramona relationship seems really cold in comparison.

But that's just a minor complaint from an otherwise fantastic movie. I genuinely don't get the Michael Cera hate, though, he did a lot better in the movie than I thought he'd be.

Sure I'll call you out on that: you hate the movie without seeing it? Hmm.. understandable. There are a few things I don't like having never seen/read/played because I can make good guesses. But how do you know it's not funny?

Hate something for having a certain actor in it if you will, but you can't know it's not funny until you see it.

It is the best film that came out this year by a wide margin.
I'm really looking forward to the DVD release myself. ^_^

That means it's probably gonna get a DVD release soon yes? The silver lining to doing poorly in theaters :)

I didn't read the comics (yet mayhaps) but I thought the movie was awesome. Let's hope you will as well.
