I got to do the Companions' blood oath, became a werewolf and rampaged through the Silver Hand's hideout, feeding on corpses and extending my blood rage. I have to say this is one of the most fun parts I've had in Skyrim. I do have plans of going full wolf and terrorizing the countryside at some later point in the game.
How about you? Are you a werewolf? What do you plan to do with your wolfie powers? Or what have you already done?

It's boring but I use it to travel, it seems faster than using a horse. Since you can only turn once per day, that's pretty much all I use it for unless I'm having particular trouble with an enemy as the werewolf tears through anything.

Nice spoiler in the title dude. Might want to edit it.
Anyway, I tried it out like, once. It sucked, I found, so I decided not to use it.

There's a ring that gives you another use of Beast Form per day.

EDIT=Not yet, restarted with a new character and am currently working my way through the quests.

This was spoiled for me by a friend but i do have a question.
When your screwing with the companions and you learn about this, do you get the option to purge their foulness from the face of the earth?

I just turned last night and it's a blast, and as far as I can tell it comes with mush less of a negative connotation than does vampirism; so, why not allow yourself to be a super bad ass werewolf once a day?

That's really not a spoiler... There were werewolves in Morrowind.

Werewolf mode is really fun, I just feel like I'm wasting kills when I'm a wolf though b/c you can't level any skills in it.

Me too. I don't do it on purpose. I just think, "Man. I could be leveling One-Armed and Light Armor right now."
Really ruins the fun.

You've got a Tauren in your avatar. That's groovy and all. But please, don't say 'Wolfie'...werewolves, and I'm talkin' bout the blood-lusting, claw-swiping, teeth-chomping, flesh-rending monstrous beast kind of werewolf are too beast for that word.

Heh, anywho! S'all groovy and all dat' jazz--I became a werewolf and occasionally use it when I need greater mobility. Being a heavy-armor clad, two-handed battle-axe wielding Orc means I'm not as quick on my toes according to video game tradition, so if I'm fighting Trolls or sommat that requires me to dodge their attacks to avoid having half my health taken away, I take on the aspect of the beast and tear them to shreds with claws while nimbly dodging the heavy swipes of my opponent. Oh, and sometimes I use Werewolf form to travel faster, since you have increased stamina while shifted.

But aside from the occasional funny line from guards ("Gast, you smell like a wet dog!"), there's really not much more to suggest being a Werewolf is all that great in the game...would have been awesome to have alternate lycanthopic forms like bears or boars or sommat...dude, an Orcish Barbarian Werebear...badass...

Or if I could get bitten by that highland coo in Whiterun and turn into a minotaur or sommat, that'd be hilariously awesome.

I'm one as well but I rarely use it. Mainly against something that may give me some trouble.

Well I have it but it sucks. You don't do that much damage and aiming well is hard. You can't heal either, so usually I get killed much more easily than normally.
