It's amazing how much of a difference one generation of consoles can do, when it was the PS2, no one announced they were getting one....everyone already had one in each room and one installed in the bathroom for emergencies. Xbox had the best working hardware, and Nintendo was anything but a sell out....0o

I would recommend littlebigplanet if you plan on getting PSN. You'll have tons of fun playing cool/weird community levels with a friend. MGS4 is brilliant and now cheap, I would definitely pick that up.
You already said you where getting uncharted, so you're good there.
Infamous is ok I guess. I liked it, but I haven't touched the game since I beat it.

I applaud the few people who mentioned Valkyria Chronicles. True, some moments are a bit frustrating (then again, I'm not terribly good at strategy games), but it's a wonderfully charming game with interesting combat and a beautiful art style.

Also, BlazBlue if you like fighting games (hell, I generally don't and loved it) and don't have it on the 360, and from the demo's the Uncharted games seem decently fun, though by no means exceptional or unique.

KILLZONE 2 and INFAMOUS!!! You already have Uncharted written down, but those two games were what I started with on the PS3 (and I loved them). No joke, KILLZONE 2 on a good HDTV, will blow your freaking mind. The graphic fidelity is just amazing.

The visuals are the best I've seen but the game is soooo pedestrian; a real letdown. Most FPS play better than it.

Valkyria Chronicles all the way baby! Uncharted2 and MGS4 are givens.

This is the second time I've seen you say this. Heavy Rain only uses QTEs during fights and other intense scenes, not the entire game. Before you go around mocking an absolutely brilliant game, (It is quite an experience.) might I suggest you actually play through it?

Figures as much, the only people call the game something like that haven't played it. If you ask me it goes above just being a game, I really got into it and cared for the characters. Quite amazing actually.

OT : I'd say get MGS4 but you obviously haven't played the others being a Microsoft only person. So give that a miss, it's a game for the fans. LBP is awesome.

Resistance: Fall of Man > all other PS3 exclusives, IMO. Yeah, it is a few years old. Yeah the graphics aren't as great as current games. But if all you care about is graphics, you should be more interested in purchasing an imagination than anything else. For me, graphics are not an extremely important consideration when it comes into buying a game. It's gameplay, plot, design, and if it is actually fun.

So yeah, R:FoM is probably the most fun I've had with my PS3, barring Fallout 3. And do NOT, under any circumstances, get Resistance 2! It's shit. Complete shit, when compared to the original.

Oh yes of course. I'm obviously just an unenlightened piss poor gamer if I didn't have fun with your piece of shit game. Guess I'm just not hardcore enough right.

Well guess fucking what, I blazed through the first goddamn level and the entire time the enemy AI was fucking retarded.

I was having very little trouble with the actual enemies. I died because of one hit kills, pits, glitches, and dogs attacking from off screen. I wasted the first boss in about 5 minutes in one try.

The game was shit and I sold it the week after I bought it. and not because I couldn't play the game "well" but because the was shitty.
