I wasn't even impressed with the 360 titles at the time. Gears was pretty cool but it was way too short.

But to be honest, I haven?t really been too impressed with the console exclusives on any of the consoles this generation. Not that they?re bad, but they don?t stand out as much as the best multiplats. They all seem so 2 dimensional with a couple of exceptions: Fable 2 and Valkyria Chronicles.
To be honest, not being a PC gamer meant that Oblivion was the major motivator. Oblivion and Halo 3. I had the original XBox and got it for Morrowind, Halo and KOTOR, so I was expecting continuations of those on the 360, and it delivered. But I've just recently caught up on the releases of last year... though this year's crop of titles doesn't give me much hope for playing anything good in February :).
Yea. I should've gotten Oblivion for the PC if just for the mods; bought the ps3 version which wasn't bad but we only got that 9 knights dlc and shivering isles. Halo 3 is a fun game but just very generic, I can think of 3 similar games instantly that I like better. But I can't say the ps3 exclusives are any better: Heavy Rain is just a pretentious collection of QTEs, Infamous is a 3 dimensional sandbox with 2 dimensional gameplay, MGS4 should've just been a movie, Same with the Uncharted games...

Overall I think this generation of gaming might just revert me back to a PC only gamer. If I'm going to be spending this kind of money, I may as well get something that really does do everything.

You know, I think I'm going to take a game hiatus too.

Right after Fallout Vegas.

Yeah it does seem like it's going to be a solid title... Fallout 3 sustained my gaming habit for about 5 months of 2009. I'm hoping to put off New Vegas until after the big MP releases of the holiday season like Halo: Reach, AC: Brotherhood, etc.

Moving around a lot games were often the only friends I had...
so... nope! That would be like cheating.

Did it for around 7 months because of my final exams. I haven't touched my Xbox in weeks, but I've been playing some browser-based stuff while online. I really don't understand playing games as a means of helping me 'wait for the gap in releases to close'. That sounds absurd.

Well, the last game I played (Bioshock 2) was disappointing, and I haven't gotten naything new since, so I just went on hiatus because I figured I might as well.

Yeah, I'm tempted to fire up Left 4 Dead 2 again and grab some of the MP achievements... I wonder how much of the community is left.
All of it.
On the 360? Does it still have the bad lag issues?
You play on the 360? Well never mind then; your guess is as good as mine.

On purpose, no. Video games are my artistic passion, and no matter how busy my life is I will always make time to study them. I have had times where I had very little time to play them, which made me sad, but I never have purposefully gone amounts of time with no video games. I know people who have tried to convince me to, claiming it made their life a lot better when they focused on other things, but that's because video games were simply an entertaining distraction for them; getting rid of it helped them focus on what they actually cared about. Considering video games are what I actually care about, that wouldn't work for me.

Kinda sorta. I have just, in general, been playing games A LOT less. For a while I was getting back into Killing Floor with Steam friends, but even that I just can't be bothered with. I'm pretty sure Halo: Reach will fix this, but in the mean-time...Iunno, other things to do.
