The point of roleplaying games is to play a role. If that role includes being a nice guy who will adopt and look after an orphan child, so much the better.

I pretty much agree with the above statement of my friend here. However, I do have one complaint.

Dont know if it will be possible but I want a little Kahjit kid. I will call it `Kitten`.

Why aren't there any non-human children? I know given certain bits of lore you can explain away why there wouldn't be lots of other children of other races, but none?!

I bring it up not just because I want to adopt a non-human, (no offence human orphans, I like you too), but I think it would be neat to see how the kids of the other races would act. But I guess it's hard to find a kid voice actor who can play a cat kid, or a lizard girl. Though mer kids are pretty much the same, except they have longer pointed ears, and will live to 1,000.

I wouldn't want to adopt one. I'd be busy trying to pass on my dragonborn blood to my next of kin through Jordis, (Though, ironically I am Argonian but Racial Phyneology said it was possible).

Actually Racial Phyneology said that they never even heard of such children, had no idea if it was possible, and was not able to "test the idea". But yeah they didn't ever say it was impossible.

If this were true, I wouldn't care about it. If I don't like a feature I don't use it. In free roaming games that's easy to do. I don't use fast travel for example.

Brilliant. I can use them as invulnerable shields. Tell them to wait in a narrow hallway inbetween you and your enemies, hide behind them and fire off as many arrows or spells as you like over their head.

I think I just had an epiphany. It would be a suit of armor made out of children. Complete invulnerability. That would be awesome.

didn't it say that there had been little experimentation in this area?

Also, this would be an interesting feature to add to TES online as it would open up possibilities of roleplaying romantic relationships in an MMO...and most likely fail horribly, but hey, different.

There could also be other kids added to the Dawnguard expansion (which I hope comes to PC) that may be more interesting characterwise.
