So Kane and Lynch is gonna suck

I had high hopes when I saw Bruce Willis was gonna play Kane but my heart sank when I saw "Jamie Fox ...Lynch" and I'm not the only one, if you scroll to the bottom of the imdb page the first thread is "WTF Jamie Foxx As Lynch?". O well guess I'll look forward to the reboot directed by Quentin Tarantino (fingers crossed).

Side note: Why has NO ONE reported this movie. I mean mainstream media I get but I don't remember seeing anything on here about it either which seems irregular. Maybe it's just that bad that even the Escapist staff doesn't want to acknowledge it.

OT: Yeah, it's been reported before. I remember reading in a magazine that they were going to make a movie based on the games. It's been a long time since they said anything about it.

I put the Kand and Lynch movie in a file along with Devil May Cry and World of Warcraft who both also have movies being made but haven't done anything about them for years.

OT: Yeah, the only thing that's surprising about this is that someone is making a movie out of Kane and Lynch, otherwise known as one of the biggest AAA flops of this generation.

Well it's kinda odd at the first sight, but just yesterday I watched Collateral (J. Fox + T. Cruise) and I really believe Fox can be great Lynch. Not perfect, but since they obviously can't have Nicolas Cage (who can do the best crazy stuff) or Gary Oldman (who would be perfect)... Fox isn't a bad match.

And no, it doesn't matter he's black or that it won't be true to he game. Max Payne movie was pretty good despite not being a carbon copy of the games.

Yad had me up until "Max Payne move was pretty good". Now I have a small amount of hate for you...just a small bit mind.

Your point about Fox is still a highly valid one though...but you do know Cage works for peanuts and appears in trashy crap all the time ( Ghost Rider 2 (god I paid to see that damnit)). Film would be worth watching no matter how bad the writing was if Cage and Willis were in it.

I suspect they're not reporting on it because Kane and Lynch was shit, Kane and Lynch 2 was shit, and all video game films are shit.

Anyway, he's a bit of an odd choice but he is a good actor. Far too good to be in a fucking Kane and Lynch film - and the same goes Bruce Willis, obviously.
