You complain about people who don't vote for what YOU wanted, yet from all the information of previous posts, you didn't vote either.Want to talk about the 'ACTUAL ISSUE', you ARE the actual issue. It isn't trolling , it's trying to make you aware of your bull-crap. The fact that you had a chance to vote and at least TRY to make a difference, and you didn't bother, makes this post void. Just sitting around waiting for the results of people who actually tried, so you could complain about not being able to smoke marijuana, isn't helpful.

In hindsight, yes, your one vote may not have been the winning vote; but it's the fact that you didn't even bother to try BEFORE you knew the results that pisses people off. If you were passionate enough and felt this was the right thing by everyone, you wouldn't of sat idly by; even if your vote seemingly didn't matter.

To the : "You voted, you have no right to complain." and the "You didn't vote, you have no right to complain." In my opinions, it is a bit of yes to both but more so to the didn't vote side. Why?

If you didn't vote, you didn't try and you don't care, and that hurts BOTH sides.

If you did vote, you hurt one side and that's the decision you are stuck with until the next vote, but really, you cared enough to leave your fucking house; instead of waiting around ready to post after the results came through.

I'd honestly rather have people vote, regardless if it's my side or not. At least they are out there, showing that their freedom to do so and their voice, is worth something.

(And about 'drugs' of any kind and their hardcore users: I don't care if everyone drinks, shoots up, or smokes themselves into a coma, or until they are dead - as long as they aren't harming anyone else in the process of destroying themselves, so be it.)

/end rant

there is no good reason why I shouldn't be allowed to get stoned at home. As long as I'm not drugged whilst:
- Working
- Driving
- Taking Care of People
- At public events
- Public Transit.
Basically, same rules would apply for drugs as rules apply for being drunk or tobacco smoking.
Actually if Prop 19 passed you would be able to work, take care of people, and go to public events with Marijuana in your system. I got this from the voter info guide, if anyone has an official source with a more thorough explanation of the prop that contradicts my explanation post it and consider my statement in void.

Christ, it should stay illegal. I've known dozens of people who smoke pot and all I've ever seen it do is create a bunch of apathetic people who stay at home and delude themselves that the government is responsible for all their problems.

Is that "in your system" as in any time 30 days after you take a puff? Because that... helps clarify nothing.

If you don't vote you don't get to moan about the outcome, simple as.

Sorry fellow Californians, Marijuana is STILL illegal
Proposition 19
No 3,826,487 53.8%
Yes 3,297,590 46.2%

Total votes 7124077

i guess California is still as ass-backwards as ever, especially since it was SHOWN that this would generate tax revenue for the government that they could have given to schools or to fixing roads.

EDIT: Removed some stuff to force people to discuss the ACTUAL ISSUE and not troll on me.
im from california. i voted against it. and im not ass backwards
Well it's technically impossible for you to assess which way your ass points in the view of others. So you may or may not be ass backwards, but you do come off a little pretentious.
only in response to an incredibly biased OP

If you don't watch, you have no right to complain.

Personally, having seen exactly what that can do am glad. I feel now it will be very difficult for it to pass elsewhere and i am glad.

Nice try, but I'm not complaining about anything he's said, nor was I complaining in the first place.

I live in the UK so weed will always be illegal, but so many people grow it anyway, we're fine over here, don't even need to import

Drugs should be illegal everywhere, altogether, no matter what kind it is.

And this comes from a guy living in the Netherlands, where the dumbasses who actually get legal weed and such waste their time on the crap.
All drugs should be legal everywhere. Why do you care if someone wastes their time on that crap ? I surely not. They can die of overdose for all I care.
lol the world according to you. It's much more complicated than you make it out to be. You think that people doing the drugs will be the only people hurt in such a scenario?
And I still dont care. Everyone has a freedom of choice, and everyone faces consequences of their choices.
Dunno if you've never heard of this happening, but my uncle was beaten and robbed by a bunch of 20-25 year olds who were later apprehended and admitted to planning on using their ill-gotten gains to purchase drugs of some sort (Can't remember if it was cocaine or ecstasy).

Other people are hurt when addictants are available to the masses BESIDES the people who actually take them. What about all the clean, sober folk who are killed by drunk drivers? They did nothing wrong, but have to pay the price. Is that fair?

I have no opinion on this proposition, I merely wish for you to see the fallacy in your logic.

*EDIT*

@ OP

I noticed that in a quoted post you argued that, using their logic, those under the age of majority don't have the right to *****. The thing is, they do; since I was a young'un, I've been one of those guys you see at the mall or on the side of the street passing out pamphlets regarding various political issues. They most definitely have a chance to impact the political arena; they just have to work a bit harder at it.

So you didn't vote, but you're complaining about the outcome? You realize if you DID vote you could have made a difference, and I can guarantee the people who fall into the "I don't vote" category is huge. People who don't vote shouldn't complain about the outcome. You didn't do your part to make a difference, or even attempt to, so why should you be bothered about how it went?
if i voted that would mean my vote still didn't matter by..... 528896 votes against me

yeah, i TOTALLY would have made a difference
Yes, but if you AND all of the other fucktards that whine about politics, but don't vote, had turned out, you could have made a difference. My oppiniont, you don't show up to fill out a ballot, keep your mouth shut.

so by this logic we should also vote yes on all propositions that make revenue. If they put prop P up for vote which allowed you to whore out children and the people voted it down would you have the same response. "come on you retards it will generate money!" No you wouldn't unless your a pedophile. You're only responding this way because people didn't vote the way you think they 'should'. Sorry a majority of people who actually did vote didn't share the same dream with you about being able to one day smoke weed legally outside and giggle like a school child while doing it.

I'm in California and I did vote yes on 19. More of a "why the hell not?" than anything. I've tried pot before, but I'm not fond of it. It doesn't affect me. Except the loss of potential revenue. I wasn't expecting it to pass, and even if it did, it wouldn't have mattered. It's illegal under federal law which always trumps the states. 19 wasn't supposed to pass, it was supposed to be a movement. To try to make people realize that not only a lot of respectable people smoke, but their lives aren't ruined just because the like to get lit every now and again. That movement is what supporters need to keep up even though the prop didn't pass.
