It all really depends on just who you're willing to class as a "Big time" villian in the spidey franchise, lord knows he has enough small time ones.
Mysterio could make for some interesting visuals, but then you realize just how difficult it would be to include his powers with a straight face. Well, as straight as they've been up to this point. Carnage and Lizard seem like an interesting Duo. Rhino and Shocker would be too small time really, same goes for Scorpian.

Well, they could use this to set up a Venom spin-off. Have Carnage show up with Venom and they just start causing havoc. Eventually they both start going after Spiderman. At some point Eddie realizes just how low he's sunk and how much he's started to hurt people, and he turns on Carnage and fights him alongside Spiderman. Gives him a nice little bit of redemption there and sets him up for his own film.

But I'm really hoping they have the Lizard this time around. Could just as easily make the whole thing about Peter mutating even further. Course of if they did that then he'd still be fighting Carnage and probably Venom as well, along with Hobgoblin, Nick Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D., the Avengers, Iron Man, Scorpion, Hulk, Fantastic 4, *mumble mumble more villians and heroes mumble mumble*...

Yeah, just saying, if the last one was any indication of things to come, then it'll probably shoehorn in some villians and somehow make them more important than they are. Like with Sandman and Peter's uncle.

Why???

I thought 2 was too many.

If they make a Pirates 4 then I may have to kill myself.
I remember reading that someone wanted to make a prequel with that Zack Efron fag from High School Musical as Captain Jack. Maybe it was 15 year old girl writing a blog (I can't remember).

I DO remember my girlfriend having to talk me down from a ledge though.

They have been setting Doc Conners up to play the Lizard for the last 3 movies. I'd like to see that. I just don't want any other villain to suffer the same fate as Venom. Minimal screen time, weak acting, generic "Capture MJ lure Spiderman into trap" master plan.

Screw Spiderman! PIRATES 4! *cough* Ahem.

Well I would echo the cries for a Venom and Carnage appearance, but the Lizard seems like a more logical choice. I would demand 100% less emo and less dancing. Kraven the Hunter would be a pretty out there choice, and would be quite interesting to see.

For ultimate fanboytastic-ness, I would love to see Wolverine in a Spiderman movie, but it won't ever happen.

The Spider man series has gotten so bad I'm not even gonna talk about it.
Has gotten? There have only been 3 movies, and only Spiderman 3 sucked, and I mostly blame Studio Pressure to include Venom for that (Yes I fucking hate Venom too, what's it to ya?). It also had it's running time cut down by about 20 minutes.

If Raimi can make 4 the way he wants, it'll probably be good.

But the symbiote vanished in a puff of smoke in the 3rd movie, remember? /casm of the sar variety

Carnage would be cool, although I'd rather have a sympathetic character like the Green Goblin 2, Sandman and Doc Ock were...

Or better yet, The Sinister 6! :D

The worst part about all of this is the fact that Kirsten Dunst will be back, goodness gracious I hate her.

Well, if anybody can pull a spiderman film off properly, it's good ol' Sam Raimi, he demonstrated that quite clearly since the first two films rocked and the third sucked more than a jet engine intake. It is only right to want to make ammends and apologize to movie goers and comic fans (like myself) by making a fucking good film.

As much as I like the Peter-Mary Jane-Gwen Stacy love triangle, they killed it for me because they didn't have the Goblin kill her.

I really love Venom and Carnage and that particular arc. The problem is, it's a very long story. How long you say?

::Draws huge breath...::

First you have include the creation of Spiderman with the Alien Costume, then have him get rid of it in order to create Venom be bonding him to a vengeful Eddie Brock. Then you have to have Spiderman (now back to his joy ol' red and blue costume) defeat Venom, separating the symbiote with Eddie. Then you get Eddie put in a mental hospital where he meets Cledus Cassidy, and then develop his character (a fucking psychotic serial murder). Meanwhile Eddie has to fall in love with a female psychologist/psychiatrist. Then you have to find a way for the sybiote to get back to Eddie, split and leave another for Cledus to get ahold of and create Carnage. They start running amok seprately and creating destruction and all that until foiled by Spiderman. They have to both be pissed on by Spiderman, and decide to team up to beat him. They get together and kick his ass very well, until you develop another plot point to get Eddie's love interest to confront him and try to stop him, only for him to ignore the stubborn "their's-still-good-in-you" type lady. Then it will take Carnage's really fucked-up mind to go too far and hurt the woman (maybe kill her) and then Venom will have to switch sides, and then develop a truce with Spiderman inorder to beat Carnage.

That's too long for a movie. That's an entire miniseries of comics right there. Movies can never capture the feel and depth of a comic anyways because motion picture ans print are entirely different media and present ideas much differently.

Plus, since they KILLED Venom (as well as cast Eddie Brock horribly wrong), he's gone. He's dead. He's out of the picture. They killed Harry Osbourne, so no Green Goblin 2/Hobgoblin. Kingpin was wasted on a crappily-don Daredevil, so no Sinister Six. ::sighs:: Kingpin was my favorite Spiderman villain and his Sinister Six.

I would like to see Lizard myself. He's already there (well Dr. Connors is): they mentioned him in the first movie and showed him in the second and third movies. In fact, in the below article Dylan Baker (actor who has portrayed Connors in the two films) said he would be excited to play the alter ego. http://uk.movies.ign.com/articles/757/757729p1.html

It is also rumored we may see Electro or Vulture. I would rather see Mysterio, Shocker, or perhaps Morbious (and a cameo from Wesley Snipes as Blade would be full of win).

Ok Lizard should be a definate, especially as Dr Connor kept a piece of the symbiote in the lab. As for Carnage it would be awesome, however, Sam Raimi stated the only reason Venom was placed in Spiderman 3 was ebcause of the amount of fans begging for him, and look what a mess that turned into.

The battle with Venom was exceptional not that big of an WoW.

that would be dope if they had a poll for the people to choose "BAD@$$" villians comes out
in the next "Spiderman" film or any other comic book movie coming out.

Why do so many people like Carnage? He's such a horrid character and very indicative of how comics got REALLY stupid in the 90's...

Guh, desperately hoping that Sam Raimi is not stupid enough to do a Carnage movie.
