Not with raimi and macguire, thats for sure.PedroSteckecilo said:Should this movie even be made?
In all fairness Venom only became Venom because Eddie was desperate. In a different universe he could have been a hero.PedroSteckecilo said:Because Venom was handled sooooo well... /sarcasmThe Eaten Cake said:Carnage and Lizard would work best, in my not-professional-at-all opinion. Mainly 'cause of Connors' involvement in the last two movies, and Carnage 'cause he's awesome.
I hate Carnage, too much of Todd McFarlanes fuck headed "XTREME!!!!!!!!"ness in that character.

Yeah, I fucking hate Carnage...
I prefer the villains that, had circumstances been different, could have been heroes. They're a lot more interesting than "XTREME BADASSES" like Venom and Carnage.
You have a really good point about Spiderman's development in the films so far. I mean when Spidey had on the blacksuit, that was a low point for him, I doubt they made the film intentionally crappy to symbolize Spiderman's downfall during this time, but it is an interesting possibility.SuperMse said:Bring in Carnage, revive Venom, put in the story of a young man struggling to choose between using his powers for purely selfish goals or taking responsibility and using his powers for the good of his fellow man, and I'll be happy.
While I don't expect Spiderman to be Batman or Watchmen, we need to have a growing up story for Spiderman. Spiderman 1 was his introduction, Spiderman 2 was grand challenge, Spiderman 3 was his cocky emo time, and Spiderman 4 needs to be about him finally wrapping things up and becoming a full-fledged hero, with his personal life perfectly balanced out with saving the world.
Then Marvel can drop the Spiderman movies (at least for a while) and get to work on making sure Iron Man 2 is actually good (looks shaky at this moment).
Admittedly, I have nooooo experience with most of these, besides what I've picked up. I've read one story with Carnage in it, pretty much. But where you enjoy the moral dichotomy-style villains, I love psychopathic bastards. I just don't see enough times when a character looks at a field of bodies, with one person standing in the middle of it, a huge grin on his face, and the character asks the villain, "WHY?!!?!", and the villain simply replies, "Because I could!"PedroSteckecilo said:Because Venom was handled sooooo well... /sarcasm
