That's what I'm thinking. Esacpist has never steered me wrong.MurderousToaster said:That's happened to other people. Not me, but it's happened to other Chrome users. I'm pretty sure that there's no danger, though. I've been on this site for two years and not been compromised by the Escapist.
Have you met Fatmanspoon? He can compromise people really well....MurderousToaster said:That's happened to other people. Not me, but it's happened to other Chrome users. I'm pretty sure that there's no danger, though. I've been on this site for two years and not been compromised by the Escapist.

Your computer must be scared of the sheer awesomeness of this website.
Okay should I just purge everything? It gave me an option for various increments. I already did one hour should I go for more?Numachuka said:There have been many threads with the solution.
Go on options then "Clear Browsing Data". That fixes the problem.
*sigh* I'm sorry, but it's one of those things that gave me a nice scare. I wasn't planning to comb through old threads while, for all I know, I'm downloading a doom virusGxas said:Sigh...
Yay to paying attention to the dozens of threads about this in the past month and a half...
Its nothing to worry about. Just reload the page.
From the same incident about 3 weeks ago or now. It's been happening randomly to Chrome users since then, so it's a Chrome problem more then likely.I passed the info on to our ad people, but as far as I can tell nothing is on the site, or has been. We aren't even running any ad networks at the moment. It might have been a glitch in Google's malware detection.
Even Google's webmaster tools said there was nothing found on the site.

I use Chrome and I haven't had this yet but I'm not worried if it does pop up, just clear the cache.
