Yaaaaay I have nothing to be afraid of!
Thanks guys! I was worried that my computer was about ready to blow up!

I'd give you guys cookies for helping me but I don't know how to bake
Heh, no worries.
And you had to quote me before I could edit my linking fail, didn't you? My fail is no immortalized for all to see! XD

Sorry I'm just watching this thread like a hawk. I'm nearly panicked @Korten12 up there. I'm still running a anti virus scan. O.O

Theres a chance a virus on your system is causing chrome to recognize random sites as viruses, would recommend a virus scan :)

There have been many threads with the solution.
Go on options then "Clear Browsing Data". That fixes the problem.
Okay should I just purge everything? It gave me an option for various increments. I already did one hour should I go for more?
Do "Everything".

That's happened to other people. Not me, but it's happened to other Chrome users. I'm pretty sure that there's no danger, though. I've been on this site for two years and not been compromised by the Escapist.
That's what I'm thinking. Esacpist has never steered me wrong.
Preforming a Macfee....Now
McAfee is shit. Trust me, get a (much) better antivirus software. I used McAfee for a year and the results were NOT pretty.

Or...So you think *dramatic music*

Google Chrome gives a lot of false positives.

Yeah, a couple of other people have reported this.

Ignore it, the Escapist won't hurt you.

[small]I, on the other hand, offer no such promises...[/small]

Bad bad Numachuka. Go sit in the corner. =P

OT: I don't think I have ever gotten that. Though I heard that chrome is a little paranoid internet security wise.

Scan your computer, if it doesn't find anything, than try another internet thing, like firefox or explorer and see if they give you that as well. If they do: goodness don't die on me. If not, than its just chrome being stupid, don't mind it.

It has only steered me wrong once. And that was a glitch on my fault. I dunno, seems okay with me =\

It doesn't block or detect viruses for shit. TRUST ME. Came home from college, installed a GOOD antivirus, and found that I had about 7 viruses on my system. McAfee is NOT a good antivirus software, and it's a massive resource hog.

My browser isn't terrible enough for it to have to babysit me whenever something as mundane as a worm is trying to get past.

It's been happening to a lot of people using Google Chrome. Anymore then that, I can't say as I don't use Chrome.
