So the Escapist just freaked me out

Recently (over the past week) been getting that message on Chrome. Ignoring it, of course, since I've been visiting the escapist for over a year now, and never had problems before. I don't see how the security could be compromised. The scans on my own pc came up with the usual cookie bullshit.

But! It is nice to know that I'm not alone in having Chrome doing that to me.

I have been getting this as well, unfortunatly. I am sure it is nothing to make a fuss about though.

Empty your cache, chrome does that on occasion if you don't. It's fine, no issue.

Chrome did that literally for every website I visited that's one reason I switched back to Firefox...

OT: From what Sassafrass posted, I'm guessing this is just Chrome freaking out over nothing. Firefox, AVG and Zonealarm assure me this site is safe... Maybe I'll do a scan now, just in case. This thread has re-ignited my internet paranoia complex for the moment.

I passed the info on to our ad people, but as far as I can tell nothing is on the site, or has been. We aren't even running any ad networks at the moment. It might have been a glitch in Google's malware detection.
Even Google's webmaster tools said there was nothing found on the site.

From the same incident about 3 weeks ago or now. It's been happening randomly to Chrome users since then, so it's a Chrome problem more then likely.

I use Chrome and I haven't had this yet but I'm not worried if it does pop up, just clear the cache.
